The morning is going by very quickly.
There are still a lot of scenes to shoot, and today we focus mainly on the ones that feature Carter, which means I'll have to both kiss him and wear that stupid wig with the bangs.
I hate bangs, have I ever said that?
It's terrible and I think it doesn't look good on me at all!Hero assured me that I look beautiful, but I assume that to him I would look beautiful even with a garbage bag on!
To me this fringe looks terrible! But in the book Tessa has this fantastic hairstyle and I can't resist wearing it, unfortunately.Speaking of Hero. Where is he?
I look around but I haven't seen him for hours, yet we haven't moved from the hotel until now, since most of the scenes will have to be shot here.Nothing. He seems to have disappeared into thin air and it's strange behavior on his part since we are always together on set even when we don't have scenes to shoot at the same time.
"Excuse me Maggie, have you seen Hero by any chance?" I stop the makeup artist as she runs here and there through the trailers.
"Hero? Yes, he was in the break room earlier, talking to Carter!" She smiles at me before running off again, to who knows where.
Good, so he's still here.
All in the norm."Are you ready?"
"Oh my God, you scared the hell out of me!" I bring my hand to my chest breathing deeply as Carter laughs in amusement.
"Sorry Jo, I thought you saw me coming!" He justifies himself with a big smile.
I shake my head, I was so deep in thought that I didn't hear the footsteps behind me!
"Shall we go?" I try somehow to get out of my embarrassment by walking toward what will be our set for the next few hours.
"Do you think... As in...I mean, we'll have to talk about how to shoot the scene?"
All of a sudden Carter looks incredibly nervous, and I don't understand why.I reach for my clipboard with all the notes I constantly carry around with me and read the details of the scene for the umpteenth time.
Did I forget something?
No, I would say no.
We have to pretend to be intimate, on a desk by the way.
It is Hardin's dream, actually I would say nightmare more than anything else.I look at him questioningly.
I don't have to do anything but sit and pretend that Carter's, aka Robert's, attentions are quite pleasing to me.
It doesn't seem like a big deal to me honestly."No, I meant... We'll have to... That is, you and I will have to..." He resumes stuttering.
Maybe I understand.
"You mean we'll have to kiss?" I smile amused at the situation. He nods, at a loss for words and definitely very embarrassed.
"I know that you and Hero... I mean I heard about it and I wouldn't want to... I mean, can we talk about it?"
"Hey, breathe! It's acting!" I take his hands waiting for him to take good breaths. "We're friends, it's all pretend!"
"I know but I wouldn't want to... I mean..."
"Carter, it's okay! By the way, it's just a simple kiss!" I show him the papers I have inside the folder.
The parts we have to shoot today I highlighted last night, everything is ready!"Okay..." He sighs heavily "So no problem for you!"
I shake my head and try to reassure him as much as possible by shaking his hands.
"I swear I brushed my teeth!" I smile to stem the tension that has built up and he bursts out laughing.
"Good! Me too!"
We laugh together as we open the door to the room where we are to shoot the scene.
