They knock insistently on the door, obviously at the very moment when I am in the bathroom.

It always happens like that, doesn't it?Usually as soon as I get in the shower: the mobile phone rings.

As soon as I have to pee: there's a knock on the door.
It seems to be on purpose, really!

I hurry to wash my hands and run to open it, as whoever is knocking is obviously in a hurry.

I open without even asking who is on the other side.

"Hero?"
I'm surprised to see him here and especially with a look that seems almost fearful.
What's going on?

"Can I come in?"
He asks as he actually enters the room.

"Sure!"
I look at him interdicted as I move aside and let him pass.

"Now you need to tell me honestly what the fuck is wrong with you! Seriously Jo! I don't know how to do this anymore!"
He paces frantically up and down my room bringing his hands through his hair.

"I understand that you want space and every now and then I need it too! I've always tried to be close to you but now I just don't understand! What the fuck is going on? Are you going to tell me or are you going to run away again this time without giving me an explanation?"

I have no idea what he's talking about and I remain motionless staring at him as if he's crazy.

"I... What the..."

"No, let me speak once and for all! If there's something bothering you, something you think happened or I don't really know what... Anything at all, please tell me! Don't run away again because I don't know if I could take it! I mean it!"

He walks over to me and takes my face in his hands.
I am literally shocked by what is happening!

He came like a tornado into the room and I still don't understand what he's actually talking about!

"Hero I..."

"I love you Jo! I love you very much and I'm willing to chase you around the world, wherever you want to run away! Just run away with me this time! Don't run away from me, please!"

He is desperate and his eyes are shining.

I've never seen him like this, except when he plays Hardin but there it's just fiction.
What's happening to him?

"I don't really know..."

He doesn't give me time to finish the sentence he kisses me.
It's a desperate kiss, as if he's about to lose me at any moment.

"I don't want to be without you!"
He whispers on my lips, resting his forehead on mine.

"Hey..." I grab his shoulders with both hands and look at him intently "I'm not running anywhere!"

"You're switching rooms again! Why?" He says all in one breath.

My eyes widen in surprise!

I didn't tell anyone about this to surprise them!

"See, I knew it!" He sighs, closing his eyes and running a hand through his hair nervously.
"I knew it!!! Again, Jo? What did I do this time? Can I even know?"

I'm dying to see him like this because I know that's how he must have felt every time I pulled away!

"It's true! I asked to change rooms but..."

"Why do you want to run away from me?!?"
He's so panicked that he doesn't let me finish a sentence.

"Listen Hero! I don't want to go anywhere!" I hint a smile to try and ease the tension.
"Seriously, I don't want to run away anymore! Ever again! Especially from you!"
