I thought I had seen them all, but I was wrong! I never cease to be surprised tonight.

As soon as Hero and I arrive in Morgz's living room to find out what's going on that's so striking, we find a crowd of people gathered around someone and a crazy commotion.
I look at Hero frowning and notice that he has the same expression as me.

The people around us are agitated and he takes my hand, squeezing it tightly, protectively.
We get closer to see what's going on and find Ella rolling around, grabbing herself by the hair, with another girl I can't recognise, in the confusion of the moment.

Around them are those laughing, clearly too drunk to understand what's going on, and those filming everything with their mobile phones.

"Hey, what's going on?" Hero asks a guy next to us.

"No idea!" he bursts out laughing "One second they were talking and the next second we found them like this!"

You can hear them both shouting unkind things, which I won't repeat, but you can't understand why they are having such an exaggerated fight!

They both get up from the ground with some difficulty and glare at each other without saying a word, breathing heavily! The air around them is charged with tension and I wonder what could have happened so seriously to trigger such a reaction!

"They're drunk, leave them alone!" shakes her head a girl passing by us "It happens every now and then, Ella is crazy as hell..." she sighs and walks away.

I turn my gaze back to the two girls who were just now rolling around on the floor, trying to see if the situation is back to normal.

"See?" Alex catches up with us visibly amused "I don't know what the fuck happened but they were both on the floor screaming ridiculous insults at each other!"

"If Ella would stop bothering other people's boyfriends, maybe we'd avoid these scenes every time!" a girl behind me shakes her head, commenting on the incident with one of her friends.

So Ella has annoyed someone? She seems so drunk to me that she couldn't really hurt a fly, in fact I'm amazed that she always stands!
Said and done. She collapses down to sit on the couch which thankfully is right behind her, overwrought from the intense gym session she just had.

"And you're a slut anyway!!!" the other girl still standing next to her yells at her.
She looks almost ready to start the fight again, as Ella looks at her with her eyes almost closed.
"If I find you near my boyfriend again..."

Her friend intervenes to take her away and avoid another scene, as the crowd slowly disperses, no longer interested in the scene that has clearly ended.
There will probably be videos of the incident on several of these people's social profiles within minutes, and although I don't like Ella, I feel sorry for her.
No one should be publicly shamed like that, for any reason.

"I'm going to check on her!" I say almost without realising it as I let go of Hero's hand.

He looks at me interdicted and observes my movements.

I very cautiously approach Ella, visibly dazed and half asleep.
Her hair is tousled, her dress out of place and her make-up all smeared on her face.
I reach into my bag and pull out a handkerchief, handing it to her as I sit down keeping a safe distance.
I don't want to be the next one to end up on the carpet with her.

"Here, all your mascara is running down..."

She looks up fearfully, ready to unleash a fist in the air and is interjected when she sees me next to her.
