Hero

I tried so hard not to fall into the web trap, I swear I tried.
I didn't check Instagram and I didn't snoop on Twitter like I do from time to time, but today I gave in!

"Hero have you seen this?" Felix calls to me worriedly from the living room.

"What?" I look out into the room and he hands me his phone.

There are posts on Instagram with some pictures of me. I don't think it's anything strange, I get so many notifications every day.

"What does that mean?" I look at him trying to figure out what he's referring to.
Felix looks nervous, looking at me and then at his phone again.

"They say you're dating Thyanna!!!" he looks at me like I've grown three heads.

I burst out laughing and sit down next to him "It must be the usual bullshit on the internet, I never look at it!"

"Maybe..." he remains silent as he carefully scrolls through pictures on his phone.

"Hey, you can't seriously believe that!" I'm incredulous! He can't think I'm with T!
In what universe would I be her boyfriend? No kidding!

"Where did they get all these videos?" he mutters to himself.

"Felix what's wrong with you?" I lean closer to look at his phone.

"They tagged Jo everywhere, look!" he shows me a video from I don't know how many years ago. There's me and other guys filmed dancing in a club.
Thyanna is next to us dancing with her friends.
I don't even remember this night!

"My hair was almost shaved, it must have been at least three years ago!" I comment "I have no idea where that came from!"

"What about this?" another video has T dancing next to me again.

"What is that supposed to mean?" I don't understand his concern.

"They write that it's evidence of your affair!" he shakes his head "People really aren't well!"

"They have nothing better to do, evidently!"

"There's even a picture!" he shows it to me doubtfully.

There is me hugging Thyanna.
I try to remember when it might have been taken but I don't really remember anything like that.
It's probably during one of the many parties of Evan, my model friend, but she doesn't even know him, she can't have been at his place!
It's clearly a photomontage!

"No, this is fake... she and Evan don't know each other!" I shake my head confidently.

"Well your fans seem to think otherwise... there's some kind of debate on instagram and it seems pretty heated!"

We scroll through the photos together and in each one is the tag that refers back to Josephine!
Why do they include her in this drama? What's the point?
- Look at Hero doing behind your back? - Do you want to say this to her?

"In this video you are in a house, with Thyanna, again!" he shows me the screen and starts the video.

"It's the flat we all had rented on holiday years ago!" I shake my head sighing "A light bulb had gone out and I had replaced it, what's strange about that?"

"Apparently it's strange that you're with her... They say she moved into your house!" he looks around "Maybe that's the only thing that's true!"

The mobile phone starts ringing insistently.
Calls, texts, Instagram notifications.
I look at Felix worriedly.
What's going on?

I reply to Alex.

"FT what the fuck is going on? I've got Instagram overrun with messages!
I've been removing tags from photos and videos being posted by who knows who for like twenty minutes now!
Who the fuck has all those videos of our evenings?" it's a flood and I have no idea what's going on!
