"Wake up you set of lazy losers!" I chant through the Château. Pope is asleep on the couch, John B and JJ are asleep in separate rooms with their doors wide open.

"Really V, do you know what time it is!" John B groans.

"It's 9:30 let's go, get up!" I yell even louder to annoy the boys.

"Come climb into bed with me!" JJ croaks sleepily. I sit on the other side of his bed and he wraps his arm around my waist dragging me down to lay with him.

"Come on JJ, you're not sleeping the day away when you're not at work." I remove his arm, lightly smacking his face to annoy him and he groans louder turning to face the other way but remaining in bed.

I walk back out the room to see John B up in the kitchen making himself some toast and Pope stretching on the couch.

"What even happened last night." Pope questions realising he ended up crashing at the château.

"You lot owe me an apology, you're not allowed to get drunk anymore if it's just gonna make you mean to me." I scold taking a seat at the table.

"Why what did we do?" A very hungover John B asks deeply with his morning voice.

"Well Kie said that you don't want me there and none of you disagreed. Is that how you all really feel?" I gulp nervously, hoping they all really was just drunk and don't all actually feel that way.

"Of course we don't feel that way, V. You're one of us and we love you!" JJ appears from his room with his bed head on full display.

"I know you do JJ but I don't know how Pope and John B feel." I look between the two of them patiently waiting for an answer.

"Don't be daft V, we all love you! You'll always be a part of us." John B walks over to the table with a plate of toast, he quickly gives me a hug before sitting down and digging in.

"Yeah honestly V we just didn't want to argue with Kie. She was already hammered, no one dared disagree with her. I definitely think you should talk to her today though." Pope adds.

He's right. That was what I was hoping for this morning but Kie isn't here. "Yeah I do want to speak to Kie, do you guys know where she is?"

"I think she had the morning shift at the wreck, 6-10." JJ answers.

We all looked surprised he even remembered this and I rush them all to get ready so we can get down to the wreck.

After ten minutes they're all ready and we set off to the town. It isn't long before we're pulling into a parking space and walking over to the restaurant.

The bell chimes as we walk through the door. Kie is at the counter serving, she doesn't look too happy to see me. We walk through and head to our usual spot only to see the booth is occupied. To my surprise, Sarah, Rafe, Kelce and my brother are sat in our usual seat.

We walk past and sit in the only other booth available on the opposite side to them. The boys are too hungover to even care about the kooks on the other side of us. Sarah looks half dead and I'm not surprised the amount she drank last night. My brother has his sunglasses covering his eyes, Kelce is sipping coffee and Rafe is still typing away on that phone; probably messaging his girlfriend.

"What do you guys want?" Kie is stood at our table side with a pad and pen ready to take our order.

"I'll have some pancakes please." JJ asks.

John B and Pope order a coffee each.

"Can I get-"

Kie doesn't even let me finish before walking away not having took my order.

The boys look at me awkwardly.

"What is her problem!" I sigh shaking my head frustratedly.

I feel JJ's arm wrap around my shoulders pulling me into him and I lean further into him wishing the ground could just swallow me up right this second.

"It's okay cupcake, she'll come around." He comforts me. I am extremely grateful for JJ, he has stuck by me through thick and thin. He's definitely the best friend anyone could ask for, I know he'd die for me and I'd die for him. I could not imagine my life without him, he's always on my side.

My eyes can't help but gravitate to their table. Rafe is already glaring back at me, his jaw clenched, I can feel my face heat up so I look away and refrain from looking back in that direction.

Tom is all of a sudden at the end of our table. "Your pancakes." He sets JJ's plates down in front of him. "And your coffees." He puts down the hot drinks infront of John B and Pope. But he doesn't leave. "Vanessa." Him saying my name catches me off guard and I look up at him. "Can I talk to you outside for a minute please?" He asks. Before I even realise what I'm doing I comply getting up from my seat.

"Do you want me to come with you?" JJ offers before I walk away. I politely say no and begin to walk away.

I can't help but look across at Rafe once again. He looks angry. Good. I think to myself before exiting the restaurant and find myself stood in front of Tom the spiker.

"What is it Tom?" I ask impatiently. Whatever he has to say can't be that important.

"Listen, I just wanted to apologise." And I was right. "I'm so sorry for the other night I don't know what was going through my head to do what I did..."

The bell rings as someone exits the restaurant.

It's Rafe.

"What Rafe?" I look at him with an irritated stare.

He doesn't even look back at me as he lights the cigarette in his mouth. "Just having a smoke." He states.

I shake my head returning my focus to Tom who is in the middle of apologising. But he doesn't continue just yet. "Do you have to stand that close?" He questions Rafe bravely.

"Listen roofie boy, why don't you just make it short and sweet. Either way she's not fucking interested in what you have to say." He declares nonchalantly still smoking his cigarette.

Tom huffs turning back to me. "Yeah I just wanted to say I'm incredibly sorry for what I tried to do to you. It wasn't me and I was drunk." He pathetically apologises to me and I'm about to go in on him when I don't even get the chance.

Rafe steps in front of me leering down at Tom furiously. "You say you was drunk but you was carrying those drugs regardless. Instead of apologising to all your victims why don't you just try and contain yourself from doing it to anyone else you freak. Now fuck off back inside before I put you on your arse again." He warningly yells leaving Tom to rush back inside away from us.

Rafe turns to look down at me. "Why the fuck was you talking to him." He growls.

I look up at him with furrowed brows, annoyed why he even cares. "He asked to speak to me outside, was I suppose to say no?" I question idiotically.

He stares at me as if I'm stupid. "Of course you say no. For all you know he could've tried drugging you again the fucking weirdo."

I laugh sarcastically. "Would you just chill the fuck out Rafe. I don't need a fucking babysitter. Leave me alone!"

His phone pings. To save myself anymore arguing I push past him but he grabs my wrist forcefully spinning me back round to face him.

"I just don't want you getting hurt." His eyes connect with mine.

I tear my wrist and my eyes away from any connection to him. "Like I said, I don't need a fucking babysitter. Go answer your slut of a girlfriend or your drug dealer." I sarcastically remark before spinning on my heels and storming back inside the diner to my friends.
