Before I know it the small gathering has turned into a full blown party. Kooks I don't even know turning up at my home. The worst part is my mom wouldn't even bat an eyelid if she was here right now. She's such a party animal.

I'm walking round the house in search of anyone I know. Stranger after stranger. My eyes finally land on Topper pouring himself another drink.

"Who the fuck are all these people?" I bark out a bit too aggressively.

"Chill they're my friends." He looks around us seeming pleased with his sneak attack of a party.

"I don't know anyone Topper! I don't think you do either."

"I do know everyone, calm down. Don't cry cause I've got more friends than you." He taunts sipping his drink.

"Okay fine. I'm just gonna invite my friends. Is that okay?"

He stops drinking for a second and puts his glass down. "You wanna invite your pogue friends, you invite them." He sounds too happy about the idea.

"You gonna start a fight with them?" I ask him the most stupid question of all time.

"I can't predict the future but just letting you know they'd be on my turf." He grins evilly.

"Fuck I hate you!" I shout at him before storming away.

I keep scanning the out of control party for a sigh of anyone I know. Preferably Rafe, Kelce or Sarah.

My eyes land on Rafe as if he could feel my eyes on him he looks up to see me.

His cheeks tinted red and his eyes glassy.
He's drunk.

He strolls up to me with his lips upturned into a smile.

He immediately puts his hand on my hips but I frantically pull away. "What are you doing!" I scold him.

"What do you mean baby?" He pouts and I so badly want to kiss his lips but I can't. Not here.

"Rafe, everyone can see us." I look around us anxiously hoping there's no one I know looking in our direction. Thankfully there isn't.

"I don't care. I want everyone to know you're mine." He goes to put his arms around me again but I step back making him frown.

"Rafe, You're drunk. Later, okay?" I blush at the thought of being in his bed again later tonight.

"Okay baby." He grins sheepishly.

A few guys I don't even know suddenly appear at our side and steal Rafe for their conversation. I disappear to go find Sarah.

I finally find her coming out the toilet. "Where have you been? I've been looking everywhere for you!"

"I've been mingling and hiding from Topper. We're playing hide and seek, if he finds me I have to give him a bj." I cringe immediately at the words which fall from my best friends mouth.

"Gross. I need you to do me a favour."

She huffs at me request. "What..." she looks at me nervously.

"In like an hour can you let Topper win that game and take him over to your house?"

"Fine. Why?"

"So I can get all these strangers out my house!" I yell with a panicked tone.

"Really, your mum said it was okay."

"Yeah I'm not okay with it."

"Fine." She sighs. She trudges down the stairs sipping her drink.

I slip into my bedroom. I slump down on the edge of my bed needing a minute to breathe.

There's a tap at my door.

"Come in." I shout thinking it's Sarah.

Rafe appears and smirks when he realises I'm in here alone.

"Hey handsome."

"Hey beautiful." He closes the door behind him clicking the lock.

He strides over to me on the bed laying down and dragging me to lay on top of him.

"I missed you. Where have you been?"

"Hiding." I tell him honestly. I've been spending the night trying to ignore all the strangers in my house.

"You don't have to hide with me."

"Except I do."

"About that Ness, I think we should just tell everyone." He pushes my hair aside and starts planting kisses down my neck, his touch causing a pulsing heat between my legs.

"Tell everyone what?" I try not to get distracted.

"That you're mine." He says in between kisses.

I put my hand on his chest stopping him. "Am I yours Rafe?"

"Of course you are Ness, I thought we talked about this?" All I can smell is alcohol with every breath he takes. Realising we're not gonna get anywhere with this conversation I drop it. This is a conversation for sober Rafe, I need to know he means what he says and actually knows what he's saying.

"Yeah you're right. We did." I tell him what he wants to hear. I peck his lips but he gets greedy and threads his fingers through the back of my hair deepening the kiss. I run my hands up his chest loving the feeling of him beneath me.

A phone vibrates between us.

He stops kissing me and I pull myself off him and sit at his side. He pulls his phone out his pocket and reads the message on the front screen.

He quickly stands up off my bed.

"Whats wrong?" I ask sitting on my knees.

"Err I gotta go." He starts typing a reply to whoever just messaged. My money is on Barry.

"What where?"

He finishes typing and shoves his phone back into his pocket. "Nowhere important." He turns for the door.

"Do you really have to go right now?" I ask him pleadingly and he stops in his tracks.

"I won't be long and I'll come straight back." He promises and I know he will come back... once he's high.

"Rafe! I know exactly where you're going. If you leave now, you're not coming back." I tell him warningly meaning every word.

He didn't have to leave. The drugs could wait, hell why does he need the drugs in the first place.

"I'm sorry, I have to go." He tells me one last time before unlocking the door and disappearing behind it.
