Rafe POV:
"So what's this Reggie tells me about you and Vanessa last night?" Kelce grins at me.
I can't help but glare at Reggie. "I thought I fucking told you last night it was nothing. Can you stop trying to cause shit with your big fucking mouth."
He holds his hands up in false surrender. Smirking knowing full well I won't collar him in the middle of the restaurant. "Listen I'm only saying what I seen."
"No, you're spreading bullshit."
"Yeah Reg, stop telling people cause i don't want people thinking something is going on between Rafe and my sister."
"Fine I'll stop."
"So you're not seeing V?" Kelce asks me seriously.
"No why?" I tell him assertively.
"Top, would you mind if I asked out your sister?" He confidently looks at Topper. My blood starts to boil at the thought of Kelce with my Nessa. I know she doesn't like him like that but I wouldn't put it past her making out with him just to piss me off.
"Are you taking the piss?" He can't tell if Kelce is being serious or not.
"Dead serious. I fancy her so much. At least I'm asking your blessing first, come on." He pleads embarrassingly just making me more angry.
"Kelce shut the fuck up man. No one is dating my sister." Topper scoffs shaking his head.
"I think she likes me you know." Reggie blurts out.
Myself, Kelce and topper look between us before burst out laughing.
"What she definitely does." He adds confidently.
There's no way my Ness would ever like him.
Nessa POV:
"I think it's gonna have to be a beach day." John B looks up at the sun beaming.
"I second that!" JJ shades his eyes copying John B.
"Third!" I chime, happy to be hanging out with my best friends again.
Kie links our hands. "Fourth! Where's pope?"
JJ looks down at his phone. "He's leaving work now he's gonna meet us there."
We all dive into the Twinkie before driving down to the beach to meet up with Pope.
"Hey V! What you doing here!" Pope greets me with excitement.
"I'm back!" I run over hugging him.
"I've missed you!"
"I missed you too!"
JJ joins in on the hug. "Let's get this beach day started!"
John B starts running to the water. "Last to the water buys a crate."
We all start running and Kie ends up being last.
My legs crash against the cold clear blue water I continue running further in until the water reaches my waist. The pogues follow.
After spending almost an hour in the water we all get out to lay on the hot sand. The boys throw a ball between them whilst me and Kie sunbathe.
"Hey V, isn't that the guy from the outdoor movie?" I hear JJ ask, I sit up curiously looking in the same direction.
I see Luke, Josh, Ryan and Joe walking across the beach.
"Yeah that's Luke and his friends." I confirm before sitting up. "Hey Luke!" I yell waving him over.
He hears me, notices me waving him and he heads over to us. "Hey Vanessa!" He greets me.
"Hey. What you doing here?"
"Just chilling out on the beach."
"Why don't you join us?"
He looks back at all his friends and they nod in agreement. "Sure."
I wave the guys over to introduce everyone. The guys all shake hands and we all end up having a big game of volleyball.
"I'm gonna take a break!" I tell everyone walking off the fake court.
"Good, now the teams are even!" John B jokes.
"Actually I'm gonna take a break too." Luke breaks the news following me to sit down.
"Come on man, we're winning!" Pope whines.
"Sorry bro." Luke chuckles turning to look at me.
"So about last night."
I sigh wishing he wasn't going to bring that up. "What about it?" I play stupid.
He looks at me mentally saying 'don't play dumb'. "You know what."
"Look Luke-"
He interrupts me. "You said there was nothing between you and Rafe."
"There's not!"
"You both went into the bathroom together."
"I know it looked bad Luke but nothing happened I was just helping him. He was drunk and high and bleeding."
"Listen, I really like you."
"You do." A grin creeps onto my face at his confession.
"I do. But I don't think you like me back."
I think about it for a second. I think about Rafe and how it will never happen if not on our terms certainly not on my brothers. I say something I may regret but for now I don't. "I do like you, Luke."
"You do?" He asks with uncertainty.
"I do. You're hot, you're sweet and you make me feel special." Now he starts to blush at my compliments towards him.
"Maybe next time you could help me when I'm bleeding?" He asks sheepishly.
I giggle. "I would love to assist you next time you're bleeding." We both laugh.
"How about we go on a date tonight?"
"Sure, I'd like that."
"I can pick you up at-"
"No no." I interrupt him. "We will go straight from here after we've finished hanging out with our friends."
"Sounds good to me."
"Are you two rested already, get back in the game!" JJ shouts at the two of us. We both jump up and join back on opposite teams.
After a long day of beach fun with my friends me and Luke sneak away.
"Where are you taking me?" I ask him curiously getting into the passenger seat of his car.
"You'll have to wait and see." He small smile creeps onto his face as he starts up the car.
We aren't driving for very long when he pulls into the car park of a familiar fancy restaurant I've visited before on many occasions with my family and the Cameron's.
"Oh wow this place is fancy. If I'd have known I would've let you pick me up." I panic combing my sand filled hair with my hand.
"Don't be daft V, you look gorgeous." I smiles as he looks at me.
"Not too bad yourself, Luke." I smile back.
He gets out and comes around to open the car door for me holding out his hand to help me step out.
I link my arm in his as he leads us both inside. We are both seated and both eat our entire meal feeling hungry after burning so much energy on volleyball. We get to know each other better and have a great time. I remain confused why I closed us down in the first place.
He pays for the both of us and drives me home. "I had a really nice time tonight Luke!"
"Me too, V. Thankyou for letting me take you out."
"Thankyou for taking me out."
He opens my door for me and walks me to my front door. He kisses my cheek before saying goodbye and driving away.
