My eyes flutter open and I sit up finding myself in my own bed, alone.

After Rafe left last night I must have crashed out, I don't remember leaving my bedroom after that.

I hear yelling coming from downstairs.

I drag myself out of bed and tiptoe down the wooden stairs trying to listen. It's mom on the phone to somebody. She sounds furious.

'Thanks for fucking nothing!' She yells before I hear her phone slam down on the counter.

I take that as my queue to join her in the kitchen. The entire house smells strongly of dettol and it looks like there was never a party here last night. I know mom has been up early hours cleaning away.

She notices me in the doorway. "Hey sweetie! Did you have a good time last night? Hungover?"

"Hey mom, it was eventful. A house full of strangers didn't sit well with me."

"You should've mingled." She goes over to the sink giving it another wipe over even though it's sparkling.

"With a ton of pretentious kooks, no thankyou."

"You know technically you're a kook?"

I frown behind my mothers back. "Don't call me a kook, mom."

She chuckles. "My little hybrid. I raised you right." She beams proudly. "So why didn't you invite your friends?"

"Oh yeah and the house would have been collateral damage after the war my brother would've started. It would've been like sending a rabbit into the lions den."

"Good point." She laughs.

"Who was you on the phone to?" I hop onto a breakfast stool waiting to see if it's someone she has to lie about.

"Oh, i-it was no one sweetie." The stutter and the shutdown means it's someone she doesn't want me to know about.

"You sure? It didn't sound like it was no one. Is everything okay?" She throws down her scrubber in the sink taking a deep breath.

She spins round to face me with a fake smile plastered on her face. "Everything is fine honey. What are your plans for today?"

Changing the subject. She's hiding something.

"I was gonna go see the pogues actually. Don't want them thinking I threw a party and chose not to invite them."

"Okay darling. You need a ride?" She never offers me a lift, somethings wrong.

"No it's okay, I'll walk. I'm gonna go get ready." I jump off the stool and jog upstairs.

My phone is going crazy on my nightstand. I haven't checked it since yesterday. I quickly grab it to see who's blowing up my phone.

The pogue group chat is going crazy. I open the chat and catch a few of the messages.

Kie:
Thanks for the invite.

John B:
What the hell V?

Pope:
Ouch, we not good enough now?

JJ:
You forget about us?

Shit. The pogues must've seen photos of the part online. I feel terrible. Realising this won't be solved over the phone, they deserve an explanation to their face.

I see that I have multiple missed calls from Rafe and a billion text messages from last night.

Rafe:
You up?

Rafe:
Baby?

Rafe:
I miss you

Rafe:
I wanna see you

Rafe:
I'm sorry for leaving

Rafe:
Please answer my call

Rafe:
I just wanna hear your voice

Rafe:
I can't wait to see you tomorrow

Rafe:
Answer me Ness

That's only a few of his texts. I click off the conversation assuming he's probably still asleep considering he was messaging at 3am this morning.

The only thing on my mind right now is the pogues.

I stroll round the chateau and my four favourite people come into view.

They all turn to look at me but don't say a word before turning away.

I reach them but they all avoid looking at me, the ground seems more interesting.

"Hey guys about last night..."

I begin but am immediately interrupted by kie. "We not good enough for you anymore?" She snidely remarks.

"Kie it wasn't like that just let me..."

I'm interrupted again but this time by Pope. "You could've let us know before hand so we didn't have to see it on the internet."

"Yeah I thought you didn't believe in these social labels. But really you're a kook through and through." John B adds.

I look at JJ pleadingly hoping he will have my back. "Maybe you are going full kook on us after all." Now that one hurt. Without being given a chance to explain I look between my supposed friends and they all look at me as if I've shot them in their foot.

"Really? You're not gonna let me explain?"

"I think the situation speaks for itself." Pope answers for the four of them.

"Wow. Thanks a lot guys really appreciate the trust you have in me. Friends since kindergarten my ass." I manage to say before spinning on my heels and putting as much distance between me and the pogues as fast as I can whilst the tears stream down my cheeks.

I reach figure eight not even realising how fast I got here cause all I could think about was the pogues and how they all hate me.

I find myself heading straight to the Cameron's in need of some support from my best friend. I don't hesitate to let myself in trying to blink away the never ending tears so I can see where I'm going.

The house is silent. No one downstairs. I run up the stairs and burst into Sarah's bedroom. Empty. Realising no one is home I close Sarah's door but bump straight into... Rafe.

I immediately start sobbing and he rushes to put his arms around me as I cling to his chest. "Sarah's not home, it's just me. What's wrong?"

A lump is in my throat making it painful to talk. I don't even know what to tell him. He's not gonna care that the pogues and I aren't friends anymore, he'll most likely celebrate the fact.

He pulls back taking my face in his hands, wiping away each tear that falls down my cheeks. "I know you're upset Ness but you have to tell me what's wrong." He grabs my hand and I let him lead me. "Let's go to my room."
