[19:00]

"C-can we take a side route?"

"What was that?"

"I don't want to go down this street."

Wonyoung glanced over to see Yujin's eyes widened in fear, her grip on the bunny's hand tightening until her knuckles grew deathly white

"Uncle's house?"

The older high schooler only nodded, and the sophomore looked around, "yeah let's find a detour if we can."

One of the others sighed, "I don't know if we can... We can't go back farther, and well..."

They pointed to a nearby alleyway that was buried in rubble, "we can't pass that way."

"And we're in no shape to be jumping over these tall neighborhood walls... Nor is there anything to give us leverage."

Hyewon tried at the rubble that blocked the alley, "yeah we won't be getting through this anytime soon..."

She walked over, gently rubbing Yujin's head, "sorry Yujin-ah."

The puppy shook her head, trying to stand a little taller with a determined look on her face, "it's fine unnie. I'll be fine."

'I have to face my past sooner or later.'

The photographer hesitantly nodded, giving one final pat before going back next to Eunbi.

The girls began to walk through the empty street, passing by beautiful homes worn down by the calamities around them, some fallen to nothing but a mound of debris.

"Huh-"

The girls froze as they came across a hooded figure staring into one of the gated homes that had crumbled to the ground.

'Why... Are they there, out of all the houses?'

They all tensed as the person turned their way, getting ready to take out their makeshift weapons as the person came closer.

"H-holy sh- ow-"

As soon as the person uncovered their head, they grew taller, the darkness around them fading off into something practically... glowing.

"Woah..."

The figure had long, silky white hair, their skin clean of any blemish with icy blue eyes. But it wasn't their perfect beauty that shocked the girls.

It was their wings.

"A-are we supposed to bow?"

"It seems brighter all of a sudden..."

The figure gazed at all of them one by one, their stare sending shivers down the girls' spines.

The last girl made eye contact with the figure, and she flinched.

"Agh!"

She clutched her head, a headache suddenly ravaging her as she fell to her knees in dizziness.

"Sins must be paid for..."

A deep, smooth voice bounced around in the girl's head, the girl clawing at her hair to make the aching stop.

'Sins?'

Her eyes widened, 't-they're in front of my uncle's house.'

"N-no w-wait..."

"What the-"

Yena faced the figure with a glare, "what are you d- mmph!"

Sakura covered Yena's mouth, backing away from the divine figure with her friend in hand, "shut up, they might go for you too."

The girl on her knees reached out to the figure as the pain grew, "I-I'm sorry I-I-"

"Yujin!"

The girl whimpered as she clutched her head, her friends horrified at what was happening to her.

What she was turning into.

"I-I didn't mean to! P-please!"

The figure didn't seem to listen as Yujin's head felt like splitting, heat seeming to swallow her up whole.

"I was just- Agh! I-I was just p-protecting... m-myself..."

Yujin fully collapsed to the floor, letting out a howl in agony that sounded all too real...

The figure turned their back towards the girls, and a bright light engulfed them all.
