CHAPTER 33

'I haven't been here in so long...'

A two-tone haired girl gently brushed her fingers across a weathered wall of a building, peering into a dirty window to see wooden school desks and chairs scattered in a room.

"Do you remember anything from here, unnie?"

Daejeon Samcheon Elementary School...

Yujin glanced next to her to see Wonyoung looking inside the same window, "not much since I was young, I remember the teachers were nice. I had a couple friends too..."

The bunny raised an eyebrow in surprise, "only a couple?"

The older girl chuckled, reminiscing of the old days, "yeah..."

'I haven't talked to them since I left... I hope they're okay.'

"Whatttt really? I can't believe the popular Yujin only had a couple friends."

Wonyoung's comment made the puppy laugh, "I only got 'popular' because of basketball, Ryujin-unnie was the popular one. Before then..."

Yujin shook her head and looked away from the room, "I was just your ordinary shy kid, I didn't like talking to kids I didn't know."

The younger girl nodded, grabbing ahold of Yujin's hand, "let's go back to our unnies before they wonder where we went."

The two walked back to the front of the school, seeing their friends waiting.

"Huh? Where's Chaewon and Minju-unnie?"

"They're probably mak- mmph!"

The two youngest watched with gaping mouths as Yuri practically slammed the palm of her hand to Yena's mouth, Sakura in turn smacking the back of Yena's head.

"Shut up, you duck."

As the hamster let go, the duck whined, "owieeeee, what the heck!"

"Serves you right unnie."

Yena pouted at Yuri, beginning to complain to her girlfriend while the others chose not to pay attention.

"Guys-"

"Chaewon?"

The group turned to where the said girl alongside the actress came from, both of them out of breath as they arrived.

"Woah, what's wrong?"

"We... We need to leave."

Minju continued as Chaewon caught her breath, "there's people here, and they don't seem friendly."

"Guns... Spiked baseball bats... Knives..."

Eunbi's eyes widened as she looked at all of them, "let's go-"

BANG!

All twelve girls jumped as the sound of a gunshot rang through the air, whipping around to see a young man on the roof of the low school building. An air of confidence surrounded the short-haired man, the lazy grin on his cleanly shaved face reciprocating the idea.

"Not so fast~"

The group got out their makeshift weapons as the man slid down the slated roof, tensing as he landed with a thud perfectly on his feet.

"It's a wonder how you girls survived this far with the minimal sense of awareness you have."

The girls backed away as more people jumped down from the roof, only to be blocked off as a few others slammed the gate that led back out of the school grounds shut.

"What do you want."

The man eyed Eunbi, slowly walking up to her as he twirled his gun, "well, it'd be unfair to us if we let intruders leave our territory without doing anything, yes?"
