Of all the hurt and the snideIf I close eyes I'm not sure what I will see
Would it be scars or my inner beauty?
But as I travel home with agility
My orbits are wide open as a necessityFeeling a little high from a better self-esteem
Mirage is the illusion of a long lost dream
It may serve as the toppings of a delicious cream
That will erase all the doom and the grimYou may spot his image from the paint of all your pictures
He may be included in some of your life's adventures
But his absence is nowhere felt in your family's futures
You will soon forget and heal from all the pain and suturesDelight in the refraction of the light as it plays with you
Relish the changes of yourself and your hue
Your special day is soon to come and signals a cue
