MARCH WITH YOUR OWN BAND
A sumptuous sleep was done
Existential crises somewhat gone
Reminded to march with my own band
As I travel in this life's dreary sand
Other's successes may be out of my reach
Unable to soar like them, unable to preach
But if in what little I am given I take delight
You shall multiply them and my gifts You'll ignite
I can't conquer the world if I can't conquer me
Delve within myself as I get to know Thee
Love all my flaws and strengths and my totality
Flaunt them and live genuinely happy
I am truly blessed with so much more
Pressed down together in good measure
Though dampened by the goals I am now setting
But they are bringing me closer to You as I am claiming
Dear Lord, always remind me of the power of Your begotten Son
As I accept my limits make me remember You have none
So I entrust to You all these things and all my plan
In Your perfect timing may they will all be done
