CHEEKY
Your smiles are reserved
To only a selected few
Every gifts you deserved
I hope I can imbue
Being a mother I seem not to be
When I count all the days
Your growth everyday I don't see
As I recount all your phase
But with my flaws and limitations
I still hope to give you my best
I lay to you all my delusions
To you I find a peaceful rest
You may not feel me every second
But my thoughts are of you each moment
My love for you is wide and rotund
And my efforts are reasonably decent
So despite my insecurities and incompetence
I am also cheeky and confident
That if someday you treat me with ambivalence
I cared for you actively and not indolent
