Others may appreciate your art
They may praise you and boost your confidence
But there are sides unhidden you cannot part
You cannot tame and cannot silenceYou are unsure whether you are good enough
And what you do may be accepted and qualified
You do not know whether to smile, sneer, cry or laugh
Unable to respond properly and dignifiedBut if you continue to dwell on this slum
Focus on your unworthiness and incapacities
Your life will constantly ache, your heart will thrum
Wondering of the many unknown possibilitiesSo arise, try and ignore the debilitating thought
See your gifts through the lens of the positives
Make a cheer and through your lips you hoot
