GREATEST GEM
As my two boys are growing
I am learning and adjusting
Thinking of methods in variety
Honored and accepted by societyI want them to become children of God
Fearing Him as they travel life's sod
Pouring their lives and effort to glorify Him
Shining brightly as a beacon, not in dimOur family might not be perfect and incomplete
Not to anyone's liking to be the lit
But as my golden dollars' buds are opening
I hope they become more understandingI have tried to be the very best of me
But I was left alone becoming lonely
And I can never make someone love me as I am
So I have to accept living like a clamI have to bottle all the questions and loneliness
Be an empowered woman brimming with happiness
Wake up every day to keep on fighting
The depressive wave that is arisingBut seeing their lovely faces in smiles
I can shut the voices and their wiles
I can enjoy all the time I have with them
For my active boys are my life's greatest gem20:29-20:38, Thursday, 090122
