NECESSARY EVIL
It is a necessary evil
To make you shine brighter
You have to take it
So you can be lighter
North pole and South pole
'Tis hard to be in there
So suck it up and be religious
It will stitch up all the tear
Now you suffer, bleed and hurt
Be patient to feel the blow
Learn from it and discern
Fight the wave that brings the low
Watch out to be not caught
In the webs of deceit
For you might also spike up
Without a word of receipt
Be the middle you that says
It's okay to desist
Not speaking up, not gaining
Not wanting to resist
Live the desiderata way
That you posted near your bed
Speak your truth gently
Always smile and be placid
