What does it take to be a man?
Should you be silent and full of wisdom?
Should you work without murmuring?
Should you labor without worrying?
What does it take to be a man?
Should you meet all your tasks done?
Should you be unmoved and resilient?
Should you be passive and obedient?
What does it take to be a man?
Should all your troubles be gone?
Should you be not inclined to favoritism?
Should you be not practicing hedonism?
What does it take to be a man?
Should your life be structured in a plan?
Should you keep on pursuing the dreaming?
Should you stand for your right unchanging?
What does it take to be a man?
When your life is served in a dashing pan
Can you learn from its discipline?
And bounce back like jumping the trampoline
To be a man is all we wanted
To be honored and guarded
We rush toward the end as if needed
We fail to realize it's the journey that's truly counted
Be a man is what they always say
But to be thus is to remain strong and not sway
Polish your beliefs and hone your principle
Stand for the right even if you're in a steeple
For to be the wanted man you must learn and see
All the angles of this provoking life journey
That even when all the earth is shaking and crumbling
We listen and bear the pain through meditation and praying
Because being a man we cannot do it alone
We need each other in this travail towards our eternal home
We are made stronger by helping one another
We are made whole in oneness and together
