RHYMES
I am making poems that rhymes
Earning none nor earning dimes
Hoping to be featured in the Times
Creating them as lyrics that chimesIt may be a non-earning hobby
But it makes me truly happy
It satisfies my soul to be jolly
It clears my mind from being muddyYou may wonder of its quality
Why not submit in collections of poetry
Albeit I tried to enter their tapestry
Sadly, I am unfortunate and unluckyRejection after rejection
Sullying my fickle emotion
But I won't give up my devotion
In making a publishable inspirationAnoint me, Lord, to be more fervent
To write in flourishing scent
To chant the powerful words of the ancient
To be more creative and patientEvery struggle will soon be worth it
Every dreams will soon be meet
May my endeavours become lit
