"What?" I asked.
"You looked disappointed upon seeing me." Bigla naman siyang ngumisi at itinaas-baba ang kilay nito, "you're expecting someone huh?"
"Don't know what you're talking about," angil ko rito sabay irap.
"Don't pretend on me. I know you too well," mayabang na sabi nito, "Well, you're going to see him later. He's probably at the delegation later. Because he's so close to being the King of Faeroe and he's now going to represent the Kingdom to all other kingdoms."
"Uh-huh," I shortly answered.
"The pressure is on fire. He's on their watch for a long time. Waiting for him to fail or succeed. I even heard some of the legislative members talking about his succession to the throne once the time arrives."
"And you," napatingin ako sa kaniya nang hawakan niya ako sa balikat ko at pareho kaming napatitig sa salamin, "...are going to be the future queen of this kingdom. A diadem for a queen."
Hindi ako sumagot sa kaniya kaya naman napangisi siya habang nakatitig at tila ba amuse na amuse sa akin, "That's odd."

"The Lacy I know will for sure rant and a 101% reject the idea of being a queen again..." may mahabang katahimikan sa aming dalawa habang nakatitig lang ako sa kaniya.
Dahan-dahang may lumitaw na ngisi sa kaniyang labi, "Should I be happy or anxious?"
"You're thinking too much," sabi ko na lang dito sabay tanggal ng kamay niya sa magkabilang balikat ko.
Tumango-tango siya sa akin bago itaas nang bahagya ang dalawa niyang kamay, ka-level ng kaniyang ulo.
"I'm just saying what I am seeing."
"Then you better look harder and dug deeper. Look beneath your eyes, Luci."
"Just be sure that I am not going to see you again hitting the rock bottom."
Hindi ko na siya sinagot at kinuha ang isang pares ng gloves at isinuot ito. Saktong pagkalabas namin ni Luci sa kwarto ay kumapit na ako sa kaniyang braso. Pagdating namin sa hallway, marami nang tao ang nandoon.
It's one of too many hallways inside the Kingdom. I looked around to see if there's any familiar faces that I could recognize. But none of them are not.
I heavy sighed. Luci left me alone to talk to some people to build an alliance.
"You must be the daughter of Duke Marquez." Napatingin ako sa biglang nagsalita sa aking gilid.
