Chapter 6

"No why?" He asked looking at you.

"Dude we are so gonna smoke on the roof" you said taking the cigarette from between his lips and getting off the couch.

"Y/n" he said trying to grab you.

You ran feeling his fingers graze your body. You heard him get up and you ran to the room. You quickly grabbed your vape and opened his window climbing out onto the fire escape.

"Y/n" he said looking out the window seeing you climb up the latter.

He sighed and grabbed a jacket before he followed you. When he got to the top you were standing by the edge of the building looking out onto the city. You took a deep breath and closed your eyes feeling the wind hit your skin.

"Why do we have to smoke up here?" He asked walking up behind you.

"Because look how pretty it is" you said taking a hit from your vape.

"It's also cold and you only have a shirt on" he said putting the jacket on you.

"It's not that bad" you said turning around putting the cigarette in his mouth.

You patted his pockets and until you found his lighter. It was in his back pocket.

"Why do you feel the need to touch my ass?" He asked putting his hands on your shoulders.

"I'm not touching your ass, I'm looking for your lighter" you said with a bit of a laugh.

You pulled it out of his pocket and flicked it on and lit his cigarette for him. He hummed and inhaled the smoke before blowing it out away from your face. You smiled and you brought him to sit on the edge of the building. You both sat there and smoked and talked. This was the first time that you realized Dabi was actually kinda nice. He pushed your hair out of your face every so often and you could feel you cheeks heat up a at the sudden contact.

"Why do you move my hair all the time?" You asked looking over at him.

"It's always in your face" he said with a shrug, "your face is to pretty to cover up"

You were taken back by his statement. Did he just compliment you? He would give you compliments but mainly about your body never your face. Your cheeks turned a bright red.

"Stop blushing like a weirdo" he said smiling and shaking his head.

"I'm not" you said turning away feeling your face heat up more.

"Yeah whatever" he said laughing then seeing you shiver a bit. "Come on lets go back inside, I'm cold" he said and you nodded.

You knew he wasn't cold he never got cold. He climbed down before you and helped you down. You climbed back in the window and he came in after shutting it. His house was cold but it was a little warmer than out side. You both walked into the living room and sat on the couch. He turned on the tv. You held your legs to your chest and rested your head on your knees. You remember feeling your eyes get heavy but you don't remember falling asleep. Dabi noticed and he gently picked you up. You snuggled into his chest and he shook his head slightly. He carried you to the room and placed you in the bed gently. You let out a small groan when he put you down and you grabbed his shirt when you felt his body heat start leave.

"I'll come back, I need to turn off the lights" he said softly

You hummed and let go of his shirt and he went and turned off the lights and came back shutting the door behind him. You let out a sigh as he got in the bed. He laid on his back and you moved closer to him and he wrapped his arms around you holding you closer to him.

You woke up in the bed alone. You sat up and rubbed your eyes. You looked around for a second and then got out of bed. You decided to take a shower. You grabbed a towel and walked into the bathroom turning on the water. While you showered Dabi was cooking some breakfast. He heard the shower turn on so he knew you were awake. After you showered you went in your bag and grabbed a pair of baggy shorts and black sports bra. You got dressed and walked into the kitchen. Dabi was in the kitchen eating and looked you up and down.

"What?" You asked grabbing a plate and serving yourself.

"Nothing" he said shaking his head.

You sat on the counter and started eating. He looked at you a few times and you noticed but didn't say anything. As you both ate a knock came and you both looked at the door. He puts his plate down and opened the door.

"Why are you here so early?" Dabi asked.

"It's noon" Hawks said with a bit of a laugh walking in. "Well if it isn't the one and only Y/n" he said kissing your hand.

"Hi" you said with a smile still chewing food.

Dabi walked in and leaned on the counter. You noticed Hawks look at you and you looked at Dabi and he shrugged his shoulders. You took your last bite of food and jumped off the counter putting your plate in the sink. You could feel Hawks looking at you and it made the hair on the back of your neck stand up. You turned around and pulled your vape out of your pocket taking a hit.

"Is there something wrong?" You asked blowing out the smoke.

"Oh no nothing is wrong, I'm just wondering why such a pretty girl would dress so manly"

When the words left his lips Dabi chocked a bit and turned his back towards you. He was trying his best to laugh quietly but it wasn't working very well. You stood there unamused by his statement. Dabi finally got control of himself and turned back around seeing your face.

"Yeah, and before you said that i didn't know why someone so handsome would have to try so hard" you said and Dabi looked at you slightly. "I guess now i know why" you said shrugging your shoulders and Hawks mouth fell slightly open. "I'll be in the room getting ready if you need me"

As you walked off Dabi patted Hawks on the back and chuckled seeing him stand there.

"Hey be happy she didn't hit you" Dabi said "I would've been hit"

While you got ready they stayed in the living room and talked about how the night was gonna go.

"Okay so we will go to the ball and she will just have to sit there, look pretty, and get info" Hawks said running his hand through his hair.

"What's the catch?" Dabi asked knowing Hawks was leaving something out.

"Well me and her will have to pretend to be together. So we will have to dance, hold hands and all that good stuff" he said and saw a slight change in Dabis eyes. "Relax I won't be to handsy" he said and Dabi nodded.

"Just so you know she is pretty stubborn and doesn't really take any shit" Dabi said hearing the room door open.

"How do I look?"
