"Where is she" Jasmine asked when Hawks came in and sat next to her.

"She's outside. She said she needed a minute" he said seeing jasmine stare right past him.

He looked back and saw Dabi sitting in his normal spot and drinking heavier then normal. He knew why. A day or two ago Dabi had had a breakdown along with a breakthrough. In Hawks' opinion it was a step forward. The door came open making Jasmine, Hawks, Compress and Dabi look over. You walked in and you stood tall like you normally did. Hawks could see you were putting up a front but it wasn't as thick as he thought it would be. He could tell you felt some sort of confidence it just wasn't as much as you were putting on. You walked to the back and sat in your spot making yourself comfortable. You looked over at Dabi who looked back at you. You gave him a small smile which surprised him along With Hawks, Jasmine and Compress.

You knew Jasmine was going to ask about it later but you knew why you did it. You felt sorry for Dabi. He fucked up when he hit you and you knew he knew that. He hit you but this what you needed to do to work past your fears. The meeting started and you were given the date of the next mission. It was the mission where you were going to get the new recruit. Shigarki made it very clear that he needed everyone there as he wouldn't come with you all willingly. You all wouldn't meet again until the night of the mission which was in 3 weeks. The meeting ended and you all kinda hung out for a little bit. You had your eyes closed leaning your head back. You listen to what was going on around you when you heard glass crash on the ground. The sound making you flinch and your eyes snap open.

"Sorry" Spinner said as he saw everyone's reaction including yours. "I'll clean it up"

You let out the breath you didn't know you were holding. You looked over at Jasmine and Hawks. Hawks mouthed to you asking if you were okay and you nodded as Toga came up to you.

"Y/n" she said your name and you looked over at her.

"Toga" you said her name in return.

"How does my hair look?" She asked and you looked at it seeing nothing different from normal.

"It looks like it always does Toga, why?" You asked and she smiled.

"Because I did it myself today" she said very proud of herself.

"Good job Toga" you said holding your hand up for her to give you a high five.

She gave you the high five and you smiled as she continued to brag about how good she did. You smiled listening to her talk. At some point she asked to play with your hair and you said yes. You got off the creates and sat in a chair and she began playing with your hair. She was being very gentle and it was very soothing so you closed your eyes. She pulled all of your hair to one said when she saw something unusual.

"Y/n what happened to your neck?" She asked and your eyes shot open.

You looked around and saw Hawks and Jasmine look at each other and then you. You also saw Dabi glance up from his drink and look back at you. You could feel everyone else's eyes on you and you froze for a second. You knew what she was talking about Jasmine must have missed some of the bruises on your neck because your hair was down. You didn't feel like putting your business out there so you used the quickest lie you could think of.

"Oh that" you said with a small smile. "I just brunt myself doing my hair" you said putting your hand on your neck looking back at her.

"Oh okay just making sure" she said and you smiled and nodded at her as she continued to play with your hair.

After awhile Toga and the others went to their room that were in the hideout and Hawks had to leave to go on a cute little date with his wife. Jasmine looked over at you seeing if you were ready to leave and you nodded. Jasmine got up and dusted herself off grabbing her phone off of the bar. You got up after her and grabbed you phone and your vape walking over to the door, Jasmine got to the door before you did opening it as you followed behind her.

"Y/n" you heard Dabi say your name and you turned around. "Can we talk?" He asked and you felt Jasmine grab your hand.

You looked over at Jasmine and she was looking at you to make sure you were okay with it. You looked at her for a second then back to Dabi. If he wanted to talk then you were gonna talk. You knew what it was going to consist of you just didn't know in what order it was gonna be in.

"Wait for me outside" you said to Jasmine and she nodded shooting Dabi a glare as she left.

You walked over to a table and pulled out a chair taking a seat. You made sure there was some space between you and him and just looked at him. You both sat in silence for a little bit before you broke the silence.

"You look like rough" you said and he sighed. "Sorry just being honest" you said shrugging your shoulders. "What did you want to talk to me about Dabi?" You asked.

"I wanted to say I'm sorry" he said pausing. "I should have never put my hands on you like that. Everything you had said was right and I didn't want to hear it but that was no excuse for me to hit you. And I know sorry doesn't undo what I did to you but it needs to be said. So I'm sorry" he said looking at you.

Your face didn't move in the slightest.

"Was that it?" You asked and he nodded. "Well if thats all" you said getting up and going to the door. "I accept your apology but I do not forgive you." You said as you walked to the door. "Anything else you wanna talk about before I leave?" You asked looking back at him.

"Why didn't you tell Toga how the bruise got there?" He asked and you sighed.

"Because she doesn't need to know and I knew that if I told her everyone else would have heard and you would have felt guilty. And that's unfair to you because you feel guilty enough all on your own." You said. "If thats all, goodnight Dabi" you said opening the door.

"Goodnight Y/n" she said watching you leave.

He knew sorry wasn't gonna do much but he knew it needed to be said even if you didn't forgive him. He was going to have to live with the fact that he hit you for a long time and he knew that.
