Chapter 31

Dabi leaned on the counter while Hawks was still on the phone. Hawks could feel him thinking about what he asked him just a moment ago.

"Don't think about it too hard but if you know you can't love her then don't make her think that you can." Hawks said yawning.

"I know I just dont know what to do" he said with a sigh the hearing the floor creek behind him making him look back. "I'll call you later Hawks" Dabi said haggling up the phone and putting it on the counter.

"What are you doing?" You asked rubbing your eyes and standing in front of him not fully aware of the fact that you at some point got undressed while you were sleeping leaving you in your underwear.

"Just talking to Hawks for a minute" He said seeing you slightly shivering.

He sighed and lifted his shirt over his head and slid it over your head and pulling it down while you put your arms through the holes. His shirt fell just above your thighs and you could still feel a little bit of your ass hanging out. He pulled you towards him and you wrapped his arms around you. You snuggled into his chest and hummed from the warmth of his body.

"Come on, lets go back to bed" he whispered and you nodded.

You moved away from him but started to lean back because you were still half asleep. He gently grabbed your hands to keep you up right and stood you straight up.

"Sorry" you said getting your balance back.

"It's fine I'll carry you" he said and you nodded.

He put your arms around his neck and then gently picked you up. You wrapped your legs around his waist and he took you to the bed. He laid you down and put the covers over you then laying down himself. Once again you snuggled up to him and you both fell asleep quickly.

You woke up to the sound of knocking on the front door. You sat up and looked over at Dabi who had his arms around you still. The knock came again and Dabi still didn't move. You sighed and got up going to answer the door. As you walked down the hallway you heard the knock again but louder.

"Coming" you called out.

You sighed and opened the door to see Hawks standing in the door way.

"Good morning Y/n" he said with a smile grabbing your hand gently and kissing it.

"Why are you here?" You asked with a yawn

"Well thats no way to greet someone" he said then walking in the apartment.

"Oh yeah sure come on in" you said to yourself.

"I'm here because I need Dabi for something." He said going in the kitchen.

"Well he's still sleeping" you said walking into the kitchen after him and grabbing a glass.

"That's fine he needs his beauty sleep" he said looking over at you reach up to get a glass and noticed you had no pants on as the shirt came up slightly. "Uh Y/n" he said your name as you turned around.

"Yeah?" You said looking at him and seeing his red cheeks.

"You don't have any pants on" he said and you looked down.

"Oh my god, I'm sorry" you said putting the glass down and running to the room.

You went in a drawer and found some shorts and put them on. As you put them on you heard a groan come form Dabi and looked back to see him awake.

"Hey what are you doing" he said seeing you.

"Hawks is here" you said and he sighed getting out of bed.

Dabi got a shirt on and walked out with you.

"What do you want Hawks?" Dabi asked when he came into view.

"I need you for something but I can't tell you what it is." He said and Dabi rolled his eyes.

"No" Dabi said sitting on the couch.

"Come on man, you are gonna want to come with me" Hawks said looking at Dabi and glancing at you and then back to him.

Dabi looked at you and back at him and realized what he was saying. You noticed their long eye contact and raised a brow before brushing it off.

"Well I'll be in the room if you need me" you said walking away because the silence was a little to loud for you.

Hawks looked down the hallway and waited until you were in the room before he started talking.

"Do you know of any other family that she has?" He asked quietly.

"I just know of her mom and now her brother but her mom is dead" Dabi said shrugging his shoulders.

"Do you know how she died?" Hawks asked.

"No, why would I know that?" Dabi asked.

"I don't know just asking, but go get dressed we have things to do." Hawks said and Dabi sighed getting up and going.

He walked in the room and you were laying on the bed trying to fall back asleep. He quietly got some clothes and got dressed then sitting on the bed to put his shoes on. He stood up and put on his jacket and went over to you giving you a light kiss on the head. Before he could move away you grabbed his shirt and pulled him closer.

"If you're gonna be gone the whole day you could at least give me a real kiss" you mumbled looking at him and he gave you a small smile before kissing you on the lips. "That's better" you said with a small smile.

"While I'm gone you should go hang out with Jasmine" he said and you hummed. "You should also go get some more of your clothes from your house, you've used up most of mine" he said and you groaned.

He walked out of the room and he and Hawks left locking the door behind him. They both walked behind the buildings so they wouldn't be seen. They walked in silence for the most part until Dabi broke the silence.

"Where are we going?" He asked with his hands in his pockets.

"My agency" Hawks said and Dabi looked at him.

"How exactly am I gonna get in, its not like I can just walk through the front door." Dabi said and Hawks chuckled.

"You'll have to climb the fire escape for obvious reasons" he said putting his hand on the back of his neck.

Dabi sighed and they walked a little further before the got to the agency. Dabi went around the back and started climbing up the fire escape. He  was half way up and was rethinking his decision to come. He continued to climb until he got to the top and waited for Hawks to open the window. While he waited he looked at the view and it reminded him of you. He knew you would have loved how pretty it was from up here. He looked out into the distance until the window popped open. He quickly climbed in through and jumped down into Hawks office. He looked around and on three of the four walls it looked normal but on the other it was covered in news articles and pictures.

"What's all this" Dabi asked.

"This is everything I found on Y/ns family and history." Hawks said and Dabi just looked at the wall in shock.
