Emiliane Lasagne all'uovo Sfoglia ruvida e porosa. I read the yellow box over. I've been standing in this aisle for over 20 minutes trying to figure out what everything says. During moments like this, I missed being home. I could run into the grocery store and grab everything I needed in under an hour. I knew the layout of the store so everything would be so easy to find. Being in Italy is amazing but sometimes it's difficult.

I even tried to ask someone who worked here to translate for me but no one could understand me. As I continue to analyze the box I could only make out two words lasagne and barilla. I threw the yellow box into my little basket. My eyes scan all of the other items on display.

I began to feel out of place. Everyone in here seemed to be unbothered by everything. Being in Italy has been an eye-opening experience. I haven't been here for long and I've already learned how so many people live different lives. I use to think we were all similar but the truth is everyone's reality is not the same. The people in this town always smiled and greeted each other. I've never met so many friendly people in my life.

It's been almost a week since Lainey and I arrived. I haven't had many interactions with everyone who lives in this town but so far the people that I have met are so kind. Ashley and Paulina have been nice enough to give us directions as to where stores and restaurants are. Lainey wanted to have a wine night with them but it turns out the two of them planned a vacation to Jamaica. So now Lainey and I didn't have anyone to hang out with besides Harry and Niall.

It's been a day since I last saw Harry. My mind has been full of fog since being in the vineyard with him. I knew he feels what I feel, he has to. There is no denying the tension and frustration we both have for each other. Every time I saw him I would end up being more confused. I wish we could talk it out. He radiates sunshine and it consumes you.

As I walk up to check out in the corner of my eye I notice a familiar face. I turn to see Maura, the waitress Harry knew. She wore a maxi blue skirt with a white crop tank top along with a pair of sandals. Maura was carrying a tote bag over her shoulder that was filled with stuff she bought. I quickly paid for the few items I had and followed her outside.

"Maura?" I called out causing her to turn around. She smiled at me.

"Ciao!"

"Ciao! I saw you leaving and wanted to say hi." I gave her a small smile. She paused for a minute. I began to wonder why she didn't say anything back to me then it hit me. Maybe she doesn't understand English. Fuck.

"Oh you were the girl with Harry!" She speaks in a thick Italian accent. "I'm sorry I was trying to remember where I knew you from."

"It's alright! I didn't know if you could understand me. My name's Matilda by the way." I laughed as I extended my hand out for her to shake it.
