Why aren't there more hours in a day? I could get so much more done if a day was like 36 hours long...

I was at a badminton tournament today taking pictures (because most of the senior team are my friends, including the kid who coaches us [he got gold in his category :D ]) and got to miss school, but now I have to go and write a satire + an essay about Margaret Bourke-White. Anyway, the point of my rambling is that there just isn't enough time to get stuff done! I really need to stop wasting so much time, especially on Wattpad...

So, if you read that, I'm sorry if it bored you, if it didn't then you get a metaphorical cookie shaped like a birdie :)

I hope you enjoy this chapter! Let me know what you think (please).

Entry ten:

Beyond Belief. Fine, I guess I couldn’t really believe you drugged me, but isn’t it illegal to give anyone drugs without their consent or knowledge? Especially minors? Do you think you could drive me back there tomorrow or something so that I can ask him what the heck happened to me? I’ll ask you for the ride in person though, since I’m not giving this back so soon.

Anyway, we just spent the past couple of hours watching The Little Mermaid parts two and three on YouTube – don’t judge me! I’m waiting to get tired so that I can fall asleep. Know anything soporific enough, besides physics? Because apparently insomnia is a side-effect, or maybe it is a withdrawal symptom, I don’t know. And shh – yes I know one diluted dose isn’t going to give me withdrawal symptoms. I’m just trying to go over all the (albeit less likely) possibilities.

If you happened to notice the “we” there, that’s right, my voices are back. They were very dramatic about it too – under Marny’s guidance I’m sure. They all kind of gasped out as if they were emerging from the depths of the ocean. Then they all started babbling how much they missed me and begged me not to suppress them again. They even went so far as to promise not to bother me so much while I’m doing school related activities such as class and homework. Though Sadie warned me that she might still occasionally ogle at M. Periot, but at least she finally agreed to help me with my French work.

Did I tell you that I went to Nadia's birthday party today? Yeah it was her sweet sixteenth, and boy was it sweet. She had a college band playing, who I must admit weren't half bad. There was this huge, and I mean enormous cake layered in all the imaginable cake flavours. I got myself a piece of the pineapple layer - nice and tropical. It was good, I bet you're jealous. She also had a small Ferris wheel and acrobats performing. There were a lot of people there. I don't know how her parents could afford it, because I remember just a few years ago she was mooching whatever she could, and always being super thrifty. But then who knows? Maybe being thrifty pays off?

Anyway, I got her a pashmina, which I know isn't exciting in itself, but it's silk, and hand embroidered with the most beautiful design imaginable. Plus I got her a signed copy of Within Temptation's new CD. I tell you she was utterly thrilled. You might be wondering how I could possibly afford such an extravagant gift, but I somehow got my Mother to pull some strings at the office - what with her working in the entertainment section of the National paper. For once I'm glad she works there. Though I won't deny that besides the comics, Entertainment is my favourite section.

Other people got her things like a ski-do, from this one snowboarder, or a big Art kit from some other girl. The richer kids got her things like crystal jewellery and designer clothes and other such nonsense that I can't imagine her needing. I mean I didn't even know she was acquainted with so many rich kids. That's not to say they were total snobs or anything, some of them were pretty cool. But it was kind of mean when she didn't get as excited over the gifts the regular crowd gave her. Stella, once she finally got there in her stunningly fashionable lateness gave her a personally designed and made prom dress, which everyone else thought was really cool, but apparently didn't compare to the Dior or Dolce and Gabanna she was getting too.

I asked her about the whole rumour thing when we had a moment alone, and she told me not to worry about it, she "wouldn't dream of stealing you away from me". Can you believe her? Anyway, she explained to me that she now has an eighteen year old boyfriend who she met at some rich kids mixer; since when does she attend things like that? I don't know man, I don't think this is the same Nadia we've known for years. She's changing, and I wouldn't be surprised if she transferred to some posh private school somewhere, and forgot all about us.

But don't worry about me feeling any self pity. I totally just chucked it out the car window on the way there -  Jessica drove me there. She decided she couldn't miss this richling get-together for the world. How unfair is it that she gets to drive and she isn't even legally old enough? I guess that's what happens when you've got a father so high up. And just because he's important, and my mom is chief of editing of the Entertainments section does not make me an automatic rich child. So stop saying my "self pity" isn't justified because what with Jessica and my "medical bills", and all that other random stuff they waste their money on, we still live a higher - middle class life. And I'd just like to point out before I continue that I donate at least half of my allowance to charity when I can spare it, so I am not a shallow person. Right?

Anyway, so I decided to just embrace the spirit of the party and have fun. There were a bunch of great activities and bungee jumping and swimming and whatnot. I especially enjoyed the henna booth. I made sure to stop there at the end of the party before we left, because I'm just smart like that. All the other children who jumped at it from the beginning couldn't do much of anything for the better part of an hour. Luckily for me, it was a pool party too, so I was wearing my swim suit under my t-shirt. And no you don't have to be worried about me breaking down because of self - consciousness, because even through my imperfections I am comfortable in my outer appearance - it's my mental state that tends to worry me more often than not. So back to the henna tattooing, since they wanted to pack up and I was one of the last ones, they got two people to work on me. At first it was this kind of cute guy who flirted with me while he held my hand and drew fantastic patterns across my arm (I'll show you when you pick me up for school), I can tell you Jamie was furious. He kept making sarcastic comments about how cool this guy thought he was and whatever but eventually the other lady joined the guy in working on my back and Sadie managed to quiet Jamie down to just a whisper.

My arms are covered in scrolling, twirling lines, dots and designs of every kind, and on my back I asked her to make three animal faces coming out of the same space. Can you guess what they are? I won't tell you until you guess, so I guess I won't write them down for now. In any case as soon as people started noticing they gathered around murmuring how awesome it was...I'll take this as a good sign.

Yeah, so it was peeling while I watched The Little Mermaid, so now I have a pile of dried up henna on a piece of paper in my garbage bin. I must admit it was a little hard getting the bits off my back, but I think I managed okay. Also, I just really like the smell of henna - it's quite a natural scent, you know? Well it turns out Jess hates it, and kept the roof of her convertible open the whole way home, so now if I get sick, you'll know why.

As for National Novel Writing Month, we still have a couple months to go, but I’ll definitely consider writing something along those lines, or in any case I will try to get Marny to help me out.
