Of course we can't forget about the Bff.

As for McFly, Tom Fletcher proposed to his girlfriend Giovanna about a week ago & that's happy news so I thought I'd share :)

Enjoy!

Entry nineteen:

[It’s] All About You. So Happy Birthday! It’s time to call in the sommelier, and break out the good expensive stuff. I can’t believe you’re eighteen. Geeze, you are old; officially an adult, wow. Any crazy plans for your first day of freedom?

I’m not giving this back until after your party. Thanks for inviting me to the private one too by the way, though I would’ve been completely disappointed if you hadn’t, not to mention I probably wouldn’t have talked to you until my birthday if you hadn’t invited me, except maybe through this journal. But anyway my point is I can tell you all about getting your present.

We all worked together, so you can be sure it was a completely thought out purchase. Gavin drove me downtown and we walked around for hours. It wasn’t overly awkward once I stopped thinking about it, though I guess but I’m still a little confused so feel free to give me your opinions.

We randomly walked into an antique and gift shop as we walked down this one street that was a little empty since it was on the outskirts of the downtown area. As soon as we walked in we stopped talking. I’m telling you have to visit this place because it is breathtaking – even to someone as clueless as me.

The walls were covered in stained glass that was lit up by a bunch of very old lamps, chandeliers and sconces. The stained glass covered the store in dazzling colourful lights and the lighting was all tarnished and fancy. It was beautiful. Then there was all this polished wicker and wooden furniture that I seriously would’ve considered buying if dad hadn’t given me a limited amount of money to spend – and yes I know I have to get a job, I’m working on it. I promise.

But it was all the little doodads and random bits and pieces everywhere that made me stop in my tracks. There were little shiny and colourful accessories hanging from the ceiling and a full wall of both antique ribbons and milliner’s flowers in every colour and style imaginable. Even Gavin couldn’t help but walk around and stare.

We spent a long time looking around but in the end settled for a basket of assorted things. We got you a few really cool rolls of ribbon (from Sadie), this black raven (from Marny), a black elephant piggy bank (from Jamie) and an old book of scrapbook paper (from yours truly). Gavin bought a book of ancient artistry and told me to give it to you from him. I really hope you like it all.

Anyway, I hope you had a great birthday! Happy eighteenth! I wish you all the best, happiness, wealth, good friends, and I hope all your wishes come true. (=

Dexter’s Sixth Response:

I think I’m going to tackle this one in order. I’m sorry about the nicknames, but that’s her thing, so I guess you’ll just have to deal. And in case you didn’t know, Dexter happens to mean right, hence the “Rightov”. That’s right, I just said hence.

This is the last comment I’m going to make on the subject, but that contest was so rigged and we totally should’ve and did win.

And that’s right, I do care, so I’m sorry if I happened to make it worse.

Now as far as Errol goes, I’m sure I’ve heard you mention him, but I have no idea who he is. But don’t worry yourself trying to explain it to me; you can just let it stay an insider joke. You can let me in on it (if it’s still appropriate) when I finally stop wimping out of doing NaNoWriMo. I do offer my condolences though, what a way to go.

I’m going to go a little out of order here, but I thank you all very much. I think it might have been one of my favourite gifts this year, all the bits and pieces are giving me so many ideas! Kaaleb was excited too I can assure you, she just held it in until after the party.

Now, on to what seems to be troubling you the most at the moment. I’m sorry to have to say, but I wholly agree with Marny on this one; what does it matter what his preferences are when he isn’t around you? It’s his problem if it becomes a problem. Though I do think in this case you have to make an effort to break away from your parents’ influence and just be there for Gavin. I mean you really like him right? And you seem to be able to connect very easily, so just focus on that and ignore the non-important little details. That’s my advice to you, good luck.
