There are so many things to read! I don't have a clue how I'm going to get it all done without ignoring my assignments and uploading, but it must all get done. I can't wait to get a copy of Sarah Dessen's new book - if I had my own car I probably would've already read it...
I'm sorry I've made you wait for this (though if I were to change thigs I'd probably put in a few more chapters before this one) but no matter, here it is now. Enjoy :)

Entry twenty six:
Some Kind Of Wonderful. I can’t tell you what a crazy hectic week it’s been. It turns out this is the week the teachers decided to ignore the fact that we’re all taking other courses and give out our Cumulative Assignments. I mean, seriously? Did they all have to be given to us at once? I have to research a deity that we haven’t studied yet in class for world religions, learn all about waves in physics along with a lab from the last unit and a package of Advanced Placement work (And I might not be smart, but I do get physics). Then there’s the psychology Cumulative assignment, we have to pick one big question based on a psychological topic and study it in depth – I decided to figure out what makes people read and submit stories to sites like My Life is Average, F My Life or even Post Secrets. I realize they’re all different, and there hasn’t really been much research done on the subject, but I’m sure I can find something useful, plus the teacher told me I could do my own research, and considering modern culture, I’m sure I’ll be able to get the data I need through surveys and emailed interviews. And of course there’s a French project. Talking to you and Jessica really helped but I sat in the back anyway just in case. For French we have to create a presentation in a group about a problem we encounter in everyday life that someone across the world might not have to deal with, and then we have to present our skit in French in front of the whole class. How exciting.
So that’s what’s been going on with me academically this week. On the home front, mom’s section just got a big scoop on the latest star so she’s been acting super nice and actually attempting to make breakfast for us herself; using actual ingredients and the stove and everything. Isn’t it amazing? Besides the fact that I could make myself something better tasting with my eyes closed I mean. And dad is happy that mom’s happy, in addition to the fact that whatever he’s doing seems to be going well too. Then there’s Jessica. She’s been acting a lot nicer to me since the night I broke down, but she still ignores me at school. I don’t mind though because I think her clique is shallow and annoying anyway, so I don’t really need their attention.
The only things that were still loose ends were the whole thing with your girlfriend and the other mess with Gavin. For the first few days I didn’t hear a word from him. That’s not to say I didn’t read the tens of text messages he’d sent, starting from the outraged “What is wrong with you, besides the obvious I mean?” messages, to the desperate “I can’t believe I just did that to you. Please take me back!” messages, to finally the resigned “I’m so sorry Sammi, I royally screwed up. If you ever forgive me, just let me know.” Messages. It was quite interesting to see his thought progression really.
The day after he’d given up on texting he started calling me at home. The first time the answering machine picked up. The second time he called Jessica happened to pick up the phone and promptly informed him that he was “a horrible, horrible boy.” And hung up before he could start apologizing some more. I somehow managed to get his third call yesterday morning before anything else interrupted, and he sounded almost afraid.
“Sammi, are you talking to me again? I know I should’ve waited to hear you out first and not tried to bring my bad day into it, but I promise my snappy mood had nothing to do with you.” He said in an almost pleading rush.
