:D I think this might be one of my favourite chapters. Let me know what you think. It's long enough that I'll just let you get to it now.
Enjoy!

Good Morning Starshine. The world says hello! Ah, I just love that song. And it's just so appropriate don't you think? Considering it's just after five thirty in the morning and the sky is still littered with stars.
Can you tell how happy I am? If I'd know dates could be so much fun, and so sweet I would've started interrupting random guys' lunches a long time ago, haha.
When Gavin finally knocked on my front door I was snoozing in that armchair we have in the foyer, and if it had been at one of the moments when sleep had taken me I probably wouldn't even have heard him. Luckily for the both of us I did and we didn't unnecessarily need to wake up mom and dad. Like I suspected, Jessica is at some friend's house tonight, doing who knows what, but I don't even care.
As soon as I opened the door I just had to smile. Gavin was wearing a warm looking fleece jacket and a beanie. His lime green converse and non-skinny jeans looked great with the rest of his outfit, but it was his smile that almost immediately woke me up. I admit at first as I stumbled out the door I was yawning a bit, and I had to rub my eyes to adjust to the dark and get the sleep out of them. Embarrassingly enough I managed to trip on one of the driveway bricks only to have him catch my elbow and help me get steady.
"Are you all right? You sure you don't want to just stay in bed?" he asked me with a clearly amused tone.
"No, I'll be alright after a few minutes." I replied brightly with a nod as he held open the passenger door for me.
The car ride to the restaurant was nice. There was some ambient music playing softly in the background and I noticed he had a pretty nice car.
"Nice car" "Your house looks nice" We said at the same time before bursting into laughter.
"Thanks" he managed to stop laughing first to say, "I had to save up for a long time before I could even consider affording this."
"How long have you been saving up?" I asked curiously because it really was a nice car. Sleek and black exterior, with a large interior and black leather seats. It smelled amazingly good too. I swear to you his car smelled like smores and Vanilla and petrichor and just a whole combination of good smells that you wouldn't imagine could smell so good together.
"Oh about nine years, since I was ten I think." his response broke through my clouded observation of the car.
"Oh? So that would make you nineteen I guess?" I asked in a still slightly sleepy voice to cover up the dimness of my question.
"Yes ma'am. I've been nineteen for two months and let me tell you it's great. How old did you say you were?"
"Didn't your mother ever tell you it's rude to ask a woman her age?" I teased, and had to laugh at his panic stricken expression. "I'm just joking, no need to start apologizing. I'm seventeen, and a half, my Birthday’s in December." I finally admitted doing my best to not seem like a pathetic high school student considering he would have graduated the year before.
“That’s cool. I remember when I was seventeen, and just starting to drive on my own. I was happy whenever my dad let me drive the beat up station wagon. And let me tell you, I bet he’s glad he didn’t give me any of the newer cars at first. Can you drive?” He asked me easily, not commenting on the age difference directly but clearly in his element with the topic of driving.
