So much has happened in the past couple days, my goodness - first the royal wedding, now the federal elections (in Canada) - it's an exciting week for our country.

To be honest, I'm not sure where half of this came from, but I suppose the things that go on in Sammi's head don't really have to make sense.

Anyway, enjoy the randomness :)

Entry twenty three:

Whenever Wherever Whatever. I feel like writing an entry that is just completely random rambling, for example about school topics and even weirder things. Not about a single problem that I’ve been sharing with you allowed – consider this a writing vacation.

In Psychology we got asked which question we would ask as social scientists out of who, what, when, where, why and how, and give our reasoning. What would you ask? I think the obvious answer is why, because there are so many answers and things you can ask that question about. But personally I’d rather ask how: how does lack of sleep affect society, how do drugs help with mental illnesses, how do the events of our youth shape the events of our lives, et cetera. The effects can be much more fascinating than the reasons sometimes.

Continuing on the topic of social studies, why in the world would any normal sixteen year old want to take parenting? I know last year people thought it would be an easy credit, but honestly, how does carrying around a crying baby doll help you in the future? Does learning about parenting really make a better parent in the future, or is it up to each person’s individual upbringing or nature? I don’t know, but I think if you’re going to take a boring and pointless course anyway, it might as well be history, or chemistry or something.

Why does slime have to dry up? You know the stuff made of Borax, water and glue. It’s so amusing, but only until it starts drying up and sticks to whatever surface it’s on – it’s so much worse on fabric. But again, it is a fun thing to play with.

Earphones are so essential in modern life, but they are so annoying. You can either spend a lot of money on a good quality pair and not be able to spend any more money for a while, or you buy the cheaper ones and be forced to deal with one of the ear pieces breaking rather quickly.

Being sick is so gross. Your nose gets runny, your palate get’s itchy, your ears get really annoying. Or you’re throat gets completely sore, you can’t talk or swallow and you’re running a temperature. Or any other multitude of symptoms that are even worse, but either way, besides the fact that you get to stay at home, being sick truly sucks. I haven’t seen anyone in the past twenty four hours because my family decided to quarantine me for a day just because I sneezed and blew my nose.

Why do people like dressing up? For example cosplay – what’s that all about? Though I do admit it might be kind of fun pretending to be someone interesting. That’s a little mean I guess, but I just don’t see why.

You know what’s really sad? When little saplings die. They don’t even get a chance to become anything more than woodchips, fire sticks, or plain and simply fertilizer.

Want to read one of my conversations with Artificial intelligence, aka Alice? Here’s an exerpt anyway:

ALICE: It’s hard to dance with no body

Human: that's not true, I didn't ask if you did dance, I asked if you liked dancing

ALICE: Please correct my mistake. What is true you did not ask if me did dance you asked if me liked dancing ?
