I grabbed the butter, cinnamon, and sugar to pour onto the dough, making sure it was evenly spread. I worked in silence for a few minutes, I happened to look at the timer and saw the batch in the oven needed to come out in a minute and the one that already came out of the oven needed to be moved to make room. I walked around the counter again to stand behind the Alpha, my wolf bristling at the closeness. I moved all the cooling rolls, then grabbed a plate from the cupboard to set one on, then placed it in front of him.

He was still watching my every move as I went back to my spot to start rolling up the dough. He picked up the roll I gave him and took a bite. The look on his face let me know he was enjoying it. I smiled at him. He seemed to soften just a tiny bit, I felt more relaxed. I finished cutting the dough and placed them on a tray.

"What did you need to talk about? I thought what we were doing before was just fine." He smirked at my blushing face.

"I don't know anything about you, I'm not going to mate with you." He narrowed his eyes at that. "So I want to know about you...I haven't had a chance to talk with your pack to learn anything, but I guess I would rather hear it from you. I will, of course, answer any questions from you as well."

He looked like he was thinking of something, the timer went off so I went to take the rolls out, setting them to cool behind him and putting in the 2 trays from the fourth batch to bake, then remembered I wasn't sure how many to make.

"How many wolves are in this pack?" I murmured

"Almost 115, including you and the wolves you brought."

"Hmmmm.." I was quickly calculating in my head if enough have been made so far, with that batch it totaled 144, so that should be good. It is getting close to 5:00 now.

He looked a little confused at the question but didn't say anything. I set the timer and started cleaning up my work area, carrying all the ingredients back to their right place. I went and grabbed all of the dishes and brought them to the sink to rinse and load in the dishwasher. When I turned around, I saw there was a cinnamon roll on a plate where I was just working, and he was carrying a stool over for me.

"Thank you."

"Mmmhmm."

He went and sat on his stool again across from me, crossing his arms leaning onto the counter. I picked a little piece of my roll and popped it in my mouth as he watched me, I was nervous, and all the questions I had seemed to vanish the longer he stared.

I swallowed the food I had in my mouth and cleared my throat.

"Did you have anything you wanted to ask me?"

"No." He said quickly, then continued, "At least not right now, so let's hear the questions you have for me."

Ughh... I squirmed in my seat under his constant gaze.

"What is your favorite food...?" I looked up to see an odd look come across his face before he snorted out a quick laugh, my wolf purred at the sound.

"That's what you want to know?" he raised his eyebrows, I nodded, not wanting to completely jump into the more complicated questions.

"I like a lot of different food, I'm not sure if I have a favorite, but maybe a rare steak. These rolls, I think, may be on that list now, too..." He took another bite, I felt pride at that little compliment.

"Thank you."

"And what is your favorite food?" he asked, humoring me.

"I like just about anything, I love to eat, I also have a sweet tooth." I said quietly, holding up my roll.
