I was heading to the door ready to find the Alpha, about to mind link Beta Carlisle to see where they all were when my wolf perked up, the smell of the rainy forest filled my nose.

Our mate! He is close. He must have come to find us! My wolf was ecstatic at that thought.

I opened my door to see a chest, I looked up to see grey eyes staring down at me, I just stood there suitcase in hand. I noticed his eyes had some blue flecks all around the pupil. They were like a winter scape, so intriguing to look at. I realized I was just standing there staring but I couldn't look away, he was the first to break eye contact and he looked down to see my suitcase, I noticed his eyes change slightly to black and his hard looking face soften for a quick second, or at least I thought it did.

"You have decided to come with me, it seems?"

I looked down at the ground nervously.

"Yes, if that is okay. I would also like to bring a helper and my guard along as well if that is alright?" I said quietly.

I peaked up at him, biting my lip, I didn't want to overstep my stay. Some wolves would take offense to that, as if their pack couldn't provide adequate protection.

His eyes seemed to darken more when he looked down at my mouth, I could tell his wolf was at the surface and who was in front of me. My wolf also wanted to come up to see her mate. The moment I let her, he stepped forward and grabbed my chin. He used his thumb to pull my lip from between my teeth, my skin danced where he touched, a warmth spread across my face, I've never felt anything like that, it must be the mate bond. He leaned down so he was closer to me his breath was sweet and minty as it blew across my face.

"If you bite your lip again, I'm going to bite it for you, and it will hurt." he growled at me, his breath hitting my face again.

My wolf was in heaven at the closeness but she wanted to taste his lips, I wanted that too, he smelled so good...I closed my eyes for a moment savoring the tingles on my skin and then it was gone. My wolf sad at the sudden change, I opened my eyes to see he had straightened up and his eyes were back to steely grey.

"You can bring who you need, I will also have guards on standby, I do understand you are the Kings daughter. You will be safe. We should be leaving." He said gruffly, and then he turned and strode quickly down the hallway and left me standing there in my doorway.

What the hell was that? I thought to myself, and I shut my door and headed to the stairs suitcase in hand. I need to say goodbye to Cam and mum, hopefully everyone is downstairs.

When I made it to the front foyer, everyone was there, Hannah had a small purple suitcase, and Felix had a duffelbag thrown over his shoulder. Felix has been my personal guard since I was nine, he was fifteen at the time and he has been like an older brother to me, he is one of my closest friends, his mate Amber I was friends with as well. She was there with us, probably to say goodbye to him.

I said my goodbyes to everyone, Cammy was last, she stood next to the door. As she hugged me, she made sure to remind me that she had no issues coming up to put him in his place and asked if I was sure she didn't want me to come along.

"Cam, I'll only be gone a few days, I'll tell you all about it when I get home, I love you."

"I love you too Gracie, call me anytime, and please be safe." I nodded to her, then she looked behind me to the Alpha. "If so much as a hair is harmed on her head by you or some testosterone fueled meat head in your pack, I will personally see to it that you suffer."

"Cam, stop..." My face reddened in embarrassment, I gave her a pointed look, squeezed her hand, and then walked out the door towards the waiting cars.

I started towards our range rover that I would take with Hannah and Felix, but before I could get in, I felt his presence and warmth close to me again.
