I showered, got dressed in high waisted leggings and a matching sports bra, and threw on my sneakers. I headed down to eat and met Hannah and Felix on the stairs.

"Good morning, you two." I said, walking down behind them.

"Good morning Grace, you're up early today." Hannah joked.

"Hey Gracie, how was your sleepover? I saw you coming down the hall wearing a shirt that looked ten sizes too big." Felix said grinning.

"I slept up on his terrace so I could watch the sunrise, which is why I'm up at this hour. I stole a shirt from his closet because my dress was uncomfortable to sleep in Mr Nosey Pants." I laughed. "And now I am starving, so want to eat, then check out the training grounds if you guys wanna join? They start at 7:30."

They both agreed, and we continued to the kitchen to grab some food. When we walked in the kitchen it was all a bustle, it was just before 7:00. It seems unlike the castle, the wolves in this pack are early risers I can hear forks scraping plates as they eat. We decided to leave Anna be for now and walked into the dining hall to see what was on the menu.

The table was piled high with stacks of pancakes with a variety of toppings. They had made bacon, sausages, and scrambled eggs. It all looked great, I grabbed a plate and started filing it up. I ended up with two pancakes topped with butter and syrup, some bacon and sausage, and a bowl of fruit, I decided to skip the eggs.

Hannah and Felix filled their plates as well, and we grabbed some orange juice and went to grab a seat. We all ate in silence thoroughly, enjoying our food. Felix had gone up for a second helping and came back with a plate just as full as the first.

"Have you been running?" I asked him, his eyes snapped to mine and looked wary.

"Why...?"

"Because you are eating a lot for us being on a visit and not doing any training. Which means you've been running, but unlike me, you don't like running for fun, so what's going on?"

He didn't say anything for a few minutes, just staring at his food.

"I'm not sure if I'm allowed to say, but it is necessary for me to do what I'm doing for now and I'm sure you will be told if needed, I'm just doing as I was told by the Alpha and Beta." He said quietly.

"You were told by the Alpha and Beta?" I started to get angry. They were keeping something from me. I could feel it, but why? "You realize you have come here with me, and your allegiance is to the throne and not this pack?" I didn't want to speak with him this way, but I was annoyed and emotional this morning.

"You know I know that, Grace, I am here to protect you, and I am doing just that. I was asked out of respect to keep this quiet, and you know I will tell you if you demand it, but I'm asking you not to." He looked into my eyes. "Please trust me, Gracie."

"I will leave it alone for now since you've asked me to, but if you lie to my face again, I will not take to kindly to it." He nodded and started eating again.

Why was I in such a bad mood, I've never spoken to Felix that way before. I needed to clear my head, I stood with my tray and turned to leave.

"You off to watch the training now?" Hannah asked politely.

"Eventually, I'm going to go for a run. Something is off with me today, I'm over emotional. I need some time with my wolf. Did you want to join Hannah? It has been a while since our wolves have run together."

She nodded, smiling.

"I don't think that's the best idea." Felix spoke up. He looked uneasy as he spoke. "Remember when I asked you to trust me? Well, this and not going near the boundaries go hand in hand..."
