T W E L V E

The fox cub was fed and happy. I explained the situation to Hannah, and the dangerous game my wolf wanted to play with the Alpha. She laughed and said I could call on her anytime to interrupt if needed.

It was past lunch now and Hannah had left to go help with preparing the dining hall, Anna has decided to have a large dinner in my honor tonight at 6:00. She is so sweet, I'll have to make sure I'm ready by then so I'm not late, I still had four hours.

I crawled into bed and contemplated taking a nap with my little fox who was nestled into my side but instead I just laid there and decided I needed to make a plan or at least I need to think of what I want and what I need.

Things were escalating with the Alpha so quickly I've only been here one day and have gotten hot and heavy three times. I refuse to beg for it and I also will not mate with him if there is a chance he will still reject me, that would break my wolf. She whined at the thought.

He is our mate Grace, he has to choose us, right? She asked quietly.

I'm not sure, he seems interested, he won't leave us alone but is that cause he wants us or is playing a game trying to get us to beg him for sex? I responded to her.

I don't know but we to figure it out Gracie, and until then I think we should avoid him as much as possible, he knows what he is doing and I'm not sure how much more I can take. I want to mate with him and have him mark us, his touch sends pleasure across our skin, and we do the same to him. So we have the power in our hands as well. But until we have his answer of who he chooses then we can't be alone with him without a plan to get out.

I know you're right. I sighed. This is going to be tough.

I must have fallen asleep as I woke to a knock on the door. I got up and shuffled to the door stiff from the position I slept in as well as sleeping in my jeans. I opened the door to see Hannah there with a curling iron in hand.

"Hi Hannah come on in, what time is it?"

"5:00 I tried the mind-link but when you didn't answer I thought you may have taken a nap, I know you don't sleep well when away from home." She said kindly.

She was so thoughtful and observant, I was happy to have her along on this trip.

"Thank you Hannah, if dinner is in an hour I'll need a quick shower, the fox cub has just woken up so will probably want to play." She smiled at that, she loves animals as well and helps in my clinic as much as she can.

"I brought up my curling wand and will do your hair for you if you'd like, I guess the entire pack will be in attendance tonight."

"That would be great!" I smiled and walked to the bathroom to get ready.

I came out to see she had laid out some clothes for me, an emerald lingerie set and a black dress that ended just above my knees and was tight, showing off my figure. I dressed quickly and sat in front of the vanity as Hannah dried and styled my hair. She pulled it up into an elegant bun leaving a few strands to hang around my face and neck curling them, then she pinned my bangs back out of my face. She wanted to do my makeup as well and thankfully she went the less is more route and my skin didn't need and foundation or concealer. She applied a tinted moisturizer, a bit of blush, chose a neutral brown and gold palette for my eyes and I put on my mascara. She stepped back admiring the work she put in.

"Beautiful, let's see that Alpha try and keep his hands off you." She waggled her eyebrows.

I laughed out at her words, she was so cheeky, I loved it.

"I have decided to steer clear as much as possible until he has decided what he is doing, I'm not going to be a toy to him, so I just can't be alone with him or I know we will give in whether we want to or not..."
