F I F T Y - F O U R

I walked over, and poor Ava looked like she was going to fall asleep sitting up.

"How was dinner, everything alright?" I asked politely.

"Yes, your Highness, supper was delicious. It has been a while since we've had a chance to sit together and have a nice meal." One of the young women said she had chocolate brown hair and bright blue eyes like Ava. The others just nodded.

"I'm happy to hear that. It seems Alpha Gabriel has been detained longer than he thought with work. I'm not sure when exactly he will be free but I would like to offer you a place to freshen up. You can shower if you'd like, or this little one can get some sleep. I'll get some clean clothes brought up if anyone needs some as well. I just want you all to be comfortable while you wait." I smiled, and they all warmly smiled back. "If you are all finished with your meal, I can take your plates then bring you to the rooms?"

Everyone gathered their plates, stacking them, and the one man in the group grabbed them, saying he couldn't possibly allow me to clean up after them. They stood, and little Ava crawled down from her chair and came to stand next to me. She grabbed my hand and held it tightly, I just smiled down at her and gave her hand a little squeeze as I led them to the kitchen.

We dropped off their plates, and I brought them to some empty omega rooms on the main floor. I wasn't really sure where to put them, but this will do for a few hours or for the night if needed. These rooms didn't have their own individual bathrooms, but there were large bathrooms two doors down with showers as well.

"Did you have any bags or belongings you had with you?" I asked, then noticed they were all carrying backpacks. "Oh, I see you have some things, there are four rooms here and I will get a cot brought in for Ava, these rooms are just temporary as I'm not sure what the Alphas plans are. I'll be back in a few moments with some towels and toiletries. Was there anything else you needed? Did anyone need some clean clothes brought?" They all looked a little embarrassed, and I felt bad. The same woman from earlier spoke up.

"Thank you for your kindness Princess, it has been quite a while since we have had a place to sleep... we do have some spare clothes, but they are unfortunately dirty as well." She looked down at her feet.

"That is no problem at all, give me ten minutes and I will be right back, please choose a room and settle in." I gave a quick nod and smiled.

I turned and ran up to my room. The women were roughly my size, just taller. They were all quite slim, probably from lack of decent meals... I pulled three simple dresses that would at least reach their knees and then ran down the hall, knocking on Felix's door. No one answered. They must still be downstairs.

Felix, I'm stealing a shirt and pair of pants to give to the new wolf wanting to join this pack. They don't have any clean clothes to wear. If you are still with Myra, could you ask her to find someone that would have pajamas that would fit little Ava?

I opened the door and went to the closet looking for something that may fit, all the men here are huge so all the clothes would swim on that wolf downstairs so it makes no difference who's clothes I take. I found a pair of sweat pants with a draw string and found a plain t-shirt and grabbed them, closing the door behind me.

I headed to the linen closet further down the hall and grabbed a large stack of towels and a laundry bag. I'll get the clothes they have all washed for them. I headed back down the stairs and saw Felix coming with a pair of pink pj's.
