He grumbled at me, and I let him go. I laid there for a moment on my back, staring up at him, my belly showing and tail wagging. My wolf was telling him she was playing and being submissive. He looked down at us just staring, but then he bent his face down to mine and licked up the side of our face, licking the blood off our muzzle. I nipped his ear and then licked it, I rolled over to get up and winced when my muscles pulled.

He put his head to my side and licked where it hurt.

I'm sorry, little Mate, we were too rough and we hurt you, you should go to see the pack doctor. His wolf sounded sincere. Why couldn't Gabriel be friendlier..

We are fine. It will heal. My wolf said back to him.

My wolf stretched and brushed her tail in his face again. Myra walked over and placed a hand on my shoulder.

"Are you alright, Grace?" Her voice was full of concern

I nodded my big head and nudged her arm.

I looked back to see the Alpha walking towards the trees, I watched the spot he disappeared, and he returned moments later in just a pair of shorts. Our tail gave us away as it wagged harder the closer he came. I knew he had muscles under his shirt, but he was absolutely gorgeous! His black hair was tousled, and his grey eyes were on mine. Then he looked at my tail and smirked, I sat on it to hide the wagging.

He came up to my side and brushed his hand along my ribs, I jerked away when he got to a sensitive spot.

"Someone needs to look at that even if it is just Myra. She can bandage you up." He commanded.

I rolled my eyes at him and looked away. He growled quietly at my eye roll but went to stand on a large rock so everyone could see him.

"We are now reaching midnight, and anyone who wants to join our run is welcome to." He looked down at me continuing. "We usually do a lap around the property. It is about 25-30 minutes, you can run longer or shorter just make sure you are staying in the packs borders. Anyone running go phase now."

He stepped down and walked back over to us, I was greedily drinking in the sight of his body. He came and stopped only inches from the end of my nose. My wolf couldn't help herself and licked up the side of his face, making his hair stand up on one side. He gave us a look that I couldn't quite decipher, but he wasn't overly impressed to be covered in drool.

"The loop around is about 40 kilometers. Do you want to still do this?" I nodded my head. He didn't seem happy. "You will be our send-off tonight, every full moon we have a wolf howl to get our run started. You will do it tonight. Usually, a few other wolves will join in." I nodded again.

He ran off to hang his shorts and I noticed he went in a different spot in the trees this time...he went near where my dress was hanging, hope he isn't expecting a show when I shift.

His wolf came back out of the trees, and everyone followed him until the whole pack was standing in front of me.

Whenever you're ready. His wolf stared at me.

I put my head down and started a long howl, getting louder as my head pointed up at the moon. Before I finished, other wolves were joining in. I thought only a couple would, as the Alpha said, but when I looked around, almost all the wolves had joined it. It was deafening. The Alpha looked around as well, almost looking shocked.

Ha ha, I thought to myself, they all love me more than Mr. Grumpy Alpha.

He started the run at a fast lope until everyone was in the trees, then he picked up the pace, and the fastest wolves gradually made it to the front. My side was killing me, but I had to keep going, almost to prove a point. We picked up the pace and saw our mate just ahead, digging our nails in again. we were able to catch up. We ran side by side in silence for a while. Some wolves that had ran as fast as they could to be in the lead were slowing down slightly, so there weren't as many wolves in front of me now. He looked over at me.
