I was floating. Everything around me seemed to shimmer and glow. The light seemed to just be. It wasn't coming from any source. It was just light. I could feel a warmth somewhere, and I felt peace.

Gracie, did we die?  My wolf asked sadly.

Well, we are here together so I don't think so, I'm not sure where we are but I don't mind it here. I'm not in pain now, but why are we here? Did we get in an accident?  I asked, trying to remember.

Yes, it is nice here, wherever we are. I don't remember what happened, I remember getting in the car when we left Gabriel, but is that it? I don't think I'm ready to die, I feel like there is so much more you and I need to do.

I agree, I'm not ready to die either. Wait, can you feel that, the warmth, it seems to be moving. I said to her.

It seemed to be moving and shifting around, but I couldn't pinpoint its location. It was so warm, and it made me feel safe, I felt like we were following it as it led us somewhere brighter. Where were we going? What was that?

Yes, Grace, I can feel it. It is our mate.  She said affectionately.

Gabriel is here? Where is he?  I tried looking around but could see nothing but the light.

Be patient Grace our Mate will come for us.

I'm not sure how long we waited. Time doesn't seem to mean much here. It could have been a year or maybe even minutes, but the warmth was growing. I could smell something but couldn't figure out the smell, sounds where coming in a hazy hum.

Then it was like my senses were overloaded all at once. People were breathing close by, and I could smell the rain, peppermint, cinnamon, and honeysuckles. There was a constant beeping nearby that was giving me a headache, and there was a harsh bleach smell. Was I in a hospital? What happened?

I tried opening my eyes, but they felt glued shut, I tried again and was able to partially open them. A harsh light shined down on me, so I closed them quickly. I could feel warmth in my hands, I squeezed it, trying to pull it closer. The rest of me felt cold.

"Gracie? Are you awake?" She yelled.

"Cammy, why are you yelling?" I mumbled quietly. My throat was so sore that the words hurt coming out.

I felt her squeezing my body, her face touching mine.

"Oh, Grace, I was so scared you weren't going to come back to us." I felt water on my face, I peaked my eyes open to see her hovering over me crying. I slowly lifted my hand to her face, brushing the tears away. My arm felt like it weighed a ton.

"Hey, there's no need to cry, I'm right here, silly. Of course I'll come back, I only went to visit the pack, I was on my way back to you, I'm here, aren't I? Were we in an accident or something? Where are Felix and Hannah?" I croaked out, a look of confusion and worry came to her face.

"Grace, do you not remember what happened? You were taken by Gabriel's father and the rogues. There was a big fight..."

"Gabriel's father...? What are you talking about?" I asked her confused, but then it was as if a switch was flipped, and all the memories from those days came flooding back and overwhelmed me.

My heart rate started to speed up, which was echoed on the monitor beeping.

"Is everyone all right? Are there any injuries from our pack? What about the Silver Moon pack? Is Felix alright? What about Eli? What happened to Arthur and Gabriel? Is he alright, Cammy? Is Gabriel okay?" I couldn't stop the overflow of emotion, and the tears started to come. "Oh Cammy, why did he do all that? All of those wolves were told there would be peace and one pack to unite them all, and he used them for his own selfish motives. We killed all of those wolves." I sobbed, she brought her hands up to the sides of my face.
