The first wolves flew out of the trees and stopped when they saw me just standing there. They lowered their heads, snarling, licking at their teeth. I cleared my mind and focused on the water at their feet.

I quickly brought up large balls of water, which momentarily confused them, I cringed in my mind for what I was about to do. I brought the water in front of the tweleve or so wolves in front of me and forced the water into their lungs through their noses and mouths. They panicked and thrashed about trying to breathe.

I took a step back and called up more water and with it sand and tiny rocks. I was able to form the water into long needle like shapes, each having sand or rock particles and shot them full force at a few of the wolves standing near the water. They were forced into their body and, I aimed for the heart and brain stem. The wolves started dropping into the water.

More wolves were coming, they weren't pausing like the first wave did, I had to think bigger and push them back. I quickly got as much water as I could, and I created a large swirling wave that sucked in the advancing wolves in front of me. They had water forced into their lungs, their numbers were dwindling, but there were still 15 or more wolves left. I needed a break for a moment to catch my breath.

I let the wave rise up and gather strength, then hurled it down towards the remaining wolves. The water and bodies of the dead wolves pushed them back into the trees, and I started siphoning streams of water. I found the fastest way to finish them would be to focus the streams into their lungs and trap it there. One after another dropped from lack of oxygen, and as soon as the last one went down, I took off back towards Felix panting, hoping I wasn't too late.

I reached him in no time and saw he was sitting up against the rocks on the road, but he was unconscious and barely breathing. I looked over his body and saw that the placement of the gunshots was not necessarily life threatening, but the silver was poisoning him and his wolf.

I shifted back and looked at each hole to see he managed to dig one of the bullets out himself. He probably passed out after. I pulled the water from the atmosphere around me. There was just enough for what I needed. I pressed the water into the bullet holes and held my hand over the wound, trying to extract it. I felt the warm metal hit against my palm and was able to grab it and pull it out, I moved on to the next shot and pulled it out a moment later.

The third was deep, and I had more trouble extracting it, I finally felt it coming to the surface and sighed in relief. Then I heard a bang. Fire ripped through the front of my arm. I looked down to see blood pouring from an angry looking hole. I raise my head to see a wet man walking towards me. He coughed up some water and then continued stalking over to me.

"He should have just given you up, and none of this would have happened." He hissed out.

He raised the gun again, and I stepped in front of Felix. A shot hit my belly. I was too infuriated to be scared, I tried to call my wolf forward, but the silver in the bullets were weakening her the longer they were in there.

"What do you want with me?" I growled at him.

"Oh, Princess, just you wait." He sneered. "Lots of fun will be had."

I didn't like the sound of that. I needed to get to cover so I could take these bullets out quickly. I saw the man fiddle with the gun when it misfired. I used that as my chance and grabbed Felix up with my good arm and took off running. I couldn't run fast, he was heavy and my wolf was weak. I just made it into the trees when I heard three shots go off. The first one hit a tree next to my head, and I shuddered, pulling Felix faster. The second one hit a tree ahead of us when I bent to reposition him on my arm. I wasn't so lucky getting away from the third. It barreled right into my sore hip.
