We stood there a moment when Myra and Eli came around the corner, breaking us from our thoughts. They both had warm smiles for me.

"Good morning, Grace!" Myra chirped. "We had your cinnamon buns with breakfast. They were delicious! Anna said you made over a hundred so everyone could have one. That was so sweet of you! Everyone was happy to hear that you made them yourself while we were all sleeping. So what are you up to now?"

"Good morning to you both." I said, returning a smile, trying not to blush at what we were just thinking of doing. "Thank you for your kind words, I couldn't sleep last night, so I thought I would be productive with my time. It was no trouble at all, I'm glad everyone enjoyed them. As for right now, I'm just going to grab some food for that little fox cub. Her wounds are healing up well. She should be good to be released tomorrow morning!" I said excitedly.

"Oh wow, her wounds were so deep, she was in rough shape last night. How did she heal so quickly? Wait, do you have healing powers?" she squealed.

"No, nothing quite as useful as that. I have learned many things while studying, and there is much we don't know when it comes to veterinary medicine. But I have found that my blood, in particular, has some healing abilities for many different animals. I am able to add some of my blood to a special ointment I've created and that I bring with me everywhere, and it speeds healing time drastically as well as prevents infection. It is one breakthrough that I am proud of."

Both Eli's and Myra's eyes grew wide, as I explained. Eli spoke up this time.

"Wow, Grace, that is so neat, Myra has now seen you twice interacting with animals, I am a little jealous. I haven't witnessed it myself! We will let you get to it, we will be around the pack house all day today, let us know if you need anything, and we will see you at dinner if not before."

"Thank you, I will see you guys later!"

Myra waved, and I continued to the kitchen to see Anna cleaning up with the other cook's. They had the music playing and were dancing about as they went.

"Hi Anna! How did breakfast turn out?"

"Oh Grace, I'm so happy you have come to visit! Everyone raved about the buns you made. The dining hall was full of energy this morning when the warrior's found out their beautiful princess slaved for hours in the kitchen before I was even awake. They are smitten with you, my lady."

I laughed at her expression as she said that.

"Well, I am glad they liked them!"

"So what brings you back to the kitchen? Are you hungry dear? I can cook you up something?" She asked, looking around.

"Is there anything leftover from breakfast?" Anna gave me an odd look when I asked.

"I'm sure there are a few things left on the trays, but they will be cold. Please let me make you a fresh and hot plate?" She begged.

"The food isn't for me, I have a hungry baby fox upstairs!" I said laughing, her eyebrows shot up in surprise.

"A baby fox? Is it a pet?" she asked, smiling.

"Oh no, Myra and I found it badly hurt when she took me on a run yesterday so I brought it back to care for her, she has come a long way and now she is a hungry little girl." I answered.

"How sweet! Take this plate and see if there is anything suitable left out in the dining hall. If not, we have lots of food we can cook for her!"

I grabbed the plate she had and headed towards the door. I looked around the hall and noticed it was empty, I guess everyone is an early riser in this pack. They must have eaten already. I walked to the tables I helped set up earlier and looked to see what I could find left for food. There isn't much here, but I only need a small amount anyway. I grab a sausage and a piece of bacon and cut a cheese omelet in half to take, I see all my rolls are gone, so I'm happy with that.
