F I F T Y - E I G H T

I stepped into the dining hall to see everyone busy at work, the tables have all been neatly set to one side of the room and more were being carried in. They took out all the round tables and were connecting all the rectangular tables in long rows one end near the kitchen and the other near the head table. They had the head table up on a platform which raised it a foot off the ground. Great, everyone can watch me eat...

The room was giving wedding vibes and honestly it is quite similar. I am not only accepting Gabriel as my Alpha to lead with and follow but also pledging my allegiance to the pack. To serve as their Luna and protector, to now put the needs of the pack before my own. The Luna ceremony has vows, a kiss, a dinner, a dance, some blood drinking...just like a wedding...I laughed to myself.

Everyone looked so busy and hard at work I wasn't sure where to jump in. I walked to the kitchen to put my mug in the dishwasher. Hmmm, it is a hot day today, maybe I could make some punch and a snack. I walked to the fridge to see what was available and thankfully saw a crate of lemons, there was also quite a few raspberries. It was still only 9:00...I know, I'll make some raspberry muffins and lemonade, I can get a few batches baked in under an hour.

I quickly got to work grabbing bowls, muffin tins and the ingredients I needed, I preheated the ovens and got started. I made close to 200 large muffins by the time the hour was up and made three dispensers full of lemonade while they baked. Once they were all out of the oven cooling and on trays I walked out to the hall to see if there was a couple tables I could set everything on. Hannah was still quietly giving instructions to the large men surrounding her.

"Hey Hannah, how is everything going?" I asked and she turned with a smile.

"Great! I am almost done with this task then I'm going to move on to outside, Myra wants me to show them how to string up the lights."

"Perfect, it is all coming along great! Could I borrow a couple of these tables? I made some snacks for everyone."

"Oh of course Grace, use whatever you need, we aren't putting any table cloths or decorations on the tables until tomorrow after lunch. Did you need a hand?" I looked around and saw Axel carrying two tables on his shoulder.

"I'll steal Axel for a moment, you carry on, you are doing great." I smiled warmly and walked to Axel.

"Well you look tired, have you had a chance to sleep?" I asked quietly, he looked down and smiled.

"Hello Princess, I haven't but I'm okay."

"Do you have plans today until supper tonight?" I asked.

"Um no, just this and then if I had time I was going to look over some paper work but I'm not overly concerned with that now." He yawned then blushed and I laughed.

"Perfect, I have a special job then you're off for the day! Set those down and follow me please." I said turning towards the kitchen.

He followed and I explained how I wanted to set this up on three tables so each had a large lemonade dispenser and cups and the muffins were spread out. That way there wouldn't be a big line while everyone stood around waiting. We grabbed cups and I filled most of them and set them out.

"Great, thank you, I appreciate the help, now, there is lemonade and a few muffins on the counter in there for you. Have your snack then go to bed, I expect you to be rested by dinner tonight. No need of walking around like a zombie because of something I asked you to do last night."

"Oh I couldn't possibly do that, I've pulled all nighters before, this is fine." He yawned again and I gave him a pointed look. "I'm pretty sure your mate would not be pleased to find me sleeping while everyone is working Princess..."
