Part 14

The next morning when Blaine comes into Kurts room Kurt immediatly realizes that Blaine looks better again and he sounds like that too "Good morning Kurt". "Morning" Kurt answers and smiles tiredly at his friend.

"You didn't called last night. Did the uneasy nights stop?" Blaine asks while setting down the breakfast tray. "No. Not yet" Kurt answers "But I wanted to let you sleep so I called the night nurse".

"Kurt you didn't had to. You know you can call me at all times" Blaine says and Kurt nods "I know but you needed some more sleep and even tho the night nurse and me still won't be friends it was okay for one night":

"Thank you Kurt" Blaine says "That was very thoughtfull of you and I definitly feel better than yesterday" and the other man smiles "That's the least I could do".

A comfortable silence sets in before Blaine clears his throat "So. Breakfast. I'll help you a bit but you try to do some of it yourself and then we'll see if we can with training". "Sounds like a plan" Kurt answers enthusiastically.

It amazes Blaine just how hard Kurt trains on getting back up on his feet. He makes great progress and he and Blaine are a real team. Kurt works well with the crutches, by now working on walking again slowly.

With his arms Kurt pulls himself on his feet, holding on to the parallel bars and carefully takes one step. Then another. And another.

That until he's on the other side, where Blaine already waits to help him back into his wheelchair so Kurt could fresh up before dinner.

Exited that he did it he says "Blaine! I did it! I can walk! You saw?" and happily hugs Blaine. Blaine is taken by surprise and can't stabilize them so he falls with Kurt in his arms but both are too happy to care so Kurt rolls down from Blaine and both lay on the ground next to each other and laugh until their stomaches hurt.

It's been a week and a half since Kurt first did his first steps. By now Blaine keeps Kurt company during breakfast and dinner, eating lunch with him together, sometimes even in the cafeteria. Because Kurt can eat completely alone now.

Today Blaine eats his lunch in the cateteria alone again, listening to Meggy telling him that she missed her ffavorite coffee addicted nurse at lunch time because last time he ate with Kurt in the cafeteria was 5 days ago and Meggy was on her break so they haven't seen each other since over a week.

Kurt has a visitor. His dad.

"So how long are you in DC?" Kurt asks his dad who answers "A week but after that I don't have any congresses for a longer time". "Okay call me when you arrived" Kurt says and Burt laughs "Of course and you call me if you miss me".

Both Hummels laugh, knowing Bur tis the one to miss Kurt and will call every day. Then they hug each other tightly. "Maybe when you're back you can see me walking a bit better in your direction" Kurt says and Burt nods "That'd be awesome".

The next day Blaine takes his break again because Adam comes to visit. The last days he didn't had the chance because of work but Finn and Rachel and sometimes Justin and Carol were there and if not Blaine was there and kept him comany and trained with him.

In two days Rachel and Justin have to go back to New York so they want to use the remaining time with Kurt and Rachel also with Blaine since they became really good friends too.

Today Justin and Rachel pack and Rachel still does something with Finn later so it's pretty useful that Adam has time today.

Blaine doesn't want to third wheel plaus he has the strong feeling that Adam doesn't like him. That could have different reasons.

Reason one: He found out that Blaine knows about him and Justin. But how would he have found out and wouldn't come and talk to Blaine to tell him to keep his mouth shut?

Reason two: He's jealous of him for spending so much time with Kurt. At first it probably was okay for him but by now Blaine and Kurt are really good friends and really close now.

In Blaines opinion the second reason makes moer sense, even tho it's non sense to be jealous if you're cheating yourself.

Else the day is pretty calm and plan for tomorrow is Rachel comes to visit in the early noon so after that she can make something with Finn.

Adain and Justin come over lunch so Blaine can take his break and in the afternoon Kurt and Blaine continue training on Kurts wish.

Today they trained too because tomorrow Kurt wants to show Adam what he can and surprisehim. Plan is that he walks a bit in Adams direction so Blaines tasks is to stay at the counter and tell Kurt when Adam comes and he can leave his room to surprise Adam.

That night again Blaines sleep is rather uneasy as a result of keeping the whole Adam-Justin thing from Kurt.

His night normalizes when Kurt calls him and they talk for a while until Kurt is asleep again, Blaine hangs up and falls asleep as well.

Kurt hardly has any nightmares or else way uneasy nights but sometimes still sleeping troubles which causes him to still wake u at night and not fall asleep again that fast.
