When Kurt comes the next day Blaine greets him happily. He wants to spend time with his boyfriend, let him distract him from the pain but he's still full with pain killer, making him falling asleep from time to time. So as well after lunch, cuddled in Kurts arms, snoring softly.
Kurt looks at him, stroking some lose hair from his forehead, careful to not touch the laceration. While doing so he gets lost in his thoughts.
Blaine may says he's happy with his life but now in those situations you get to know who's truly there for you.
Kurt had his dad, Carol, Finn, Rachel, Blaine and yes before everything went down even Adam and Justin. Even Sebastian could count as one of the persons there for Kurt.
And Blaine? He has Kurt and Sebastian and Hunter, who got told not to come, and maybe Meggy could count too. That seems to be it and even tho Kurt feels bad for his boyfriend, Blaine seems to be fine with the little amount of people he has.
The day and night pass quickly and on Monday morning Burt and Kurt come to take Blaine home. Since Blaines sprained ankle isn't bad injuried he doesn't even need the crutches anymore and just a bandage instead. In about a week his ankle will be fine again.
Once Blaines bag is packed he, Kurt and Burt leave the hospital and drive to Blaines apartment ao he can pack some more stuff for the time he stays at Kurts.
"I'm sure you two can pack alone. Call me when you're done and I come upstairs to take the bag. I wait in the car" Burt says and the two young men nod and get out of the car.
"It felt weird to be in your apartment for the first time without you" Kurt says and Blaine proposes "Then let's pretend you weren't there before". "Okay" Kurt says smiling and kisses his boyfriend on the cheek.
"Angel would you like to come to my apartment with me?" the shorter man asks and Kurt answers "I'd love too" before laughing and following Blaine to his apartment.
Since there isn't an elevator in the building both men take it slow, taking the stairs one by one up.
Kurt still needs to work on that and Blaine with his sprained ankle is also pretty restrictet. But that's okay. They have time.
Once at the fromt door Blaine opens the door and says "After you Mr. Hummel". "Why thank you Mr. Anderson" the younger man says giggling and steps inside. "I know it's not much but it's home" Blaine says and closes the door behind him.
Blaine takes his time with packing. Partly because he has no other choice and from time to time Kurt and Blaine both need to sit down and take a break. And partly because he's busy telling Kurt about all the different memories he had in here with Sebastian.
One of them was the huge fight they had about choosing the right couch or about who gets which room as their bedroom.
Kurt listens closely. He loves how Blaine talks about those happy memories with shining eyes and a smile on his lips. And he loves even more that he now has the chance to add new memories with him here.
When the bag is finally packed Kurt texts his dad to come up while Blaine once again sits down on his bed to take a break. He sits down next to him and puts a hand on Blaines tight "You're alright?". "Yeah" Blaine says, groaning silently "I just need pain killer and rest". The younger man nods "Come on. As soom as you're at my place you can rest as much as you want".
He kisses Blaines cheek and then offers him a hand to stand up as Burt comes in to not only take Blaines bag but also supports him back down to the car.
Back at the Hudson-Hummel house Burt helps Blaine up to Kurts room where the young man finally lays down. This time Kurt is the one who takes care of him. He searches Blaines bag for the pain killer and gets him a glass of water to take them.
"I'll make us some lunch and I have stuff to do for NYADA but you rest okay?" If you need anything feel at home and I'm downstairs if you search for me" Kurt says and kisses Blaine one time on the forehead and then on the lips. "Okay. Thank you. I love you" Blaine whispers and Kurt answers "I love you too".
Then he stands up and leaves and Blaine, exhausted and tired, falls asleep right away.
Kurt goes downstairs and prepares some sandwiches. Carol should be home from her shift soon too and she may be hungry as well.
With his sandwiches Kurt sits down in the living room, placing the laptop on his knees. He still has to do some things for NYADA, not wanting to fall behind again because he spend the last days with Blaine in the hospital.
He's so into it that he doesn't realize how fast time flies by. Only when he feels a hand on his shoulders, massaging them softly. Kurt looks up and sees Blaine standing behind him with a smile.
"Hey" Kurt greets and Blaine answers "Hey". "How do you feel?" the younger asks and Blaine goes around the couch to sit down next to Kurt "Better. I think I overestimated myself a bit during packing but I'm better now". "That's good" the other man answers and kisses Blaine on the cheek.
"If you're hungry I left the sandwiches in the kitchen. I can get them for you if you want" Kurt proposes but Blaine shakes his head "I'm glad. Maybe later".
"Okay. Do you want to watch tv or something? I still have some things to do here" Kurt asks but again Blaine shakes his head "We could just listen to some music and I take the book that I want to finish since I don't know when".
Only minutes later they sit on the couch, sharing a comforter, music playing in the background and while Blaine reads his book, Kurt does his studying for NYADA.
When Carol comes home she takes hers and Blaines sandwiches and joins the boys in the living room, reading a book herself and enjoying the calmness in the house.
This is nice. Something to get used to.
In the evening everyone eats dinner together and Kurt and Blaine go up to Kurts room, watching a movie before both fall asleep.
