Part 21

Now that Kurt and Blaine are friends again time passes quickly and the days flew by.

Kurt starts training normal again and after a few days he could eat alone again.

One week later he is exactly where he was before everything went down.

Sebastian visited Kurt on his last day in Lima and said goodbye to him before Hunter picked him up so they could drive home again. Of course not without promising to visit more often now that Sebastian has one friend more in Lima.

Knowing Sebastian Blaine should've known that his best friend doesn't leave him without reminding him about his and Kurts future wedding, leaving Hunter in confusion. "I'll explain it to you in the car babe" Sebastian says and looks one mor etime to blaine. Blaine just nods. He won't pretend anymore. He likes Kurt a lot.

Kurt is over Adam. He hates him still but he's over him. Instead there's a new feeling. A mix of safety, warmth and being whole. A feeling he has when Blaine is around.

He told Rachel in one of their regular phone calls and she told him the same as always. She already said it about two weeks ago when everything happened and she won't stop until Kurt sees what she means.

She just doesn't know that Kurt already understood her. Her words repeating in his head over and over again. "Blaine set your heart together just like I told you. And since you can trust my words let me tell you: Blaine Anderson likes you. Like really likes you. Maybe you're not ready yet but maybe he's exactly who you need and you should give him a chance".

Yes maybe he should give Blaine a chance because he's sure that he likes Blaine. Now he hopes that Rachel is right and Blaine likes him too. He'll just ask him, hoping he tells him the truth and really likes him back.

When Blaine comes in the next morning with Kurts tray of breakfast and a coffee for himself Kurt giggles "Second caffee?". "Third" Blaine corrects him and Kurt raises an eyebrow at him, the smile leaving his face "You said today only two coffee after you had three when you came yesterday".

"Sorry?" Blaine laughs and teasingly takes a sip from his coffee. Yes he wanted to drink less coffee but he's a coffee addict and he has no problem with that.

Both laugh at Blaines teasing but when Blaine sits down on his stool Kurt gets serious and asks "Do you like me?". With that he cathces Blaine by surprise as he nearly chokes on his coffee. But Kurt has to ask or his courage will leave him again.

"Like, like like me. And please be honest" Kurt continues after Blaine calmed down again. The nurse stays quiet for a few seconds, looking at Kurt and wondering about the sudden question. Then he swallows "What if I say yes?". "Then I'd be very happy about that" Kurt answers.

"Happy because..." Blaine trails off. Is Kurt just flattered that he likes him? Or was Sebastian right all the time and Kurt actually likes him back? If yes then Kurt has a lot of courage because Blaine propably never would've asked.

"Happy because I like you too" Kurt answers smiling. But it seems like the message still didn't reached Blaine because he asks "Like, like like?. "Like like Blaine. I like you. A lot. You make me feel safe, warm and whole" Kurt explains. "I like you too" Blaine asnwers, still stunned, and Kurt giggles "I think I got that now".

"So what happens now?" Kurt asks before the silence takes over for too long. Blaine answers "How about I kiss you?". "I'd like that" Kurt says, his voice barely above a whisper and Blaine asks "Yeah?" coming closer already and his voice just as quiet. "Yeah" Kurt whispers and Blaine answers "I like that too".

And with that Blaine closes the gap between their lips, kissing Kurt softly but somehow hard at the same time. Kurt never have been kissed like that. With Adam it was different. He kissed harder, without the softness that Blaine brings into the kiss.

But while kissing Blaine everything else is unimportant. Especially Adam. Like they're in their own little bubble.

Blaine only pulls away when both are running out of air but he stays close to Kurt. It felt too soon to separate. Instead comfortable silence fills the room, both men catching their breath.

"We like each other" Kurt states and Blaine nods with a chuckle before Kurt continues "So we'll be boyfriends right?". "If you'reready for that already then I'd love to call you my boyfriend" Blaine answers and Kurt doesn't has to think long.

He didn't thought he'd be ready again that soon but with Blaine it feels right and worth a try. "I think I'm ready. At least with you I feel ready" Kurt says and Blaine proposes "And if you don't or something else is wrong then we talk about it and find a solution". "Like we always did" Kurt says and Blaine nods agreeing "Like we always did".

And so the new born couple eats breakfast or more Kurt eats and Blaine, who had breakfast at home, drinks his coffee while they talk about the plan for today as always during breakfast.

Of course they train walking again, occasionally sharing a kiss and Blaine pushing Kurt to his limits, telling him he only gets a kiss as a reward when he reaches something.

At lunch they finally get to talk serious again while they both eat lunch in the cafeteria, Blaine of course not without another coffee.

"So. Are we telling someone already?" Kurt asks and Blaine shrugs "I think there are people we should definitly tell like Rachel, Sebastian and so on. Family and friends". "I sense a but" the younger man says and Blaine nods "I'm sure that some people here don't really like relationships between staff and patients".

"So we tell friends and family but here, the place where we are the whole time, we have to be a secret?" Kurt asks and Blaine nods "That would be better but you're doing so good and you'll be out here before you know it and then the being a secret part is over". "Okay. We'll manage somehow" Kurt says and smiles at Blaine who smiles back.

Since Kurt forbits Blaine another coffee, helping him to reach his goal of less coffee, they go back up to Kurts room again, deciding who they want to tell.

First they call Burt, who is very happy for them but of course threatens Blaine that he shouldn't dare to hurt Kurt.

Then they call Rachel who almosst screamed them deaf when they told her because she's so happy for them. She knew it. She knew it the whole time.

The next they call is Finn so they can tell him before Rachel does. He's also very happy for them both. He knew that Blaine is a good guy.

After that they call Sebastian as the last person they tell. For everyone else they stay a secret. Just a nurse and a patient who get along very well.

First Sebastian plays offended that he's the last person they call but of course he's happy for the couple which he as always shows by being his sassy self. He tells them that he was right the whole time and that they took long enough to finally get their shit together and become a couple.

Still too happy Blaine decided that they trained hard enough for today, about what Kurt was very happy. Instead they spend the rest of the afternoon cuddling and talking, enjoying the little bubble they're in.

In the evening, after dinner, Blaine goes and changes before he goes back to Kurts room to wish him a good night as always.

He closes the door behind him and goes to Kurts bed to give him a good night kiss. "Goodnight Kurtie" he then says and Kurt answers "Goodnight Blainey". On that follows another goodnight kiss and then Blaine goes home, happier than ever.
