The next day Kurt takes his bag and goes to the choir room where he, Will and the kids will meet. Then they get into the bus, exitement filling the air. But Kurt has to admit that the closer he gets to the airport the more nervous he gets.

At the airport they go in direction of the gate but before Kurt even could come close to it he stops in his tracks. His heart beats incredibly fast and faster with every step he takes closer to the gate. His breathing goes fast too and that's when he realizes...

Blaine was right. He's not ready yet. He gets disappointed because he can't and Blaine wanted to protect him from that.

"Will?" Kurt says and goes to the an who already walked a bit ahead with the group. "Yes Kurt?" the teacher says, turning around to the younger man and quickly realizing that somethings not right.

"Hey Kurt what's wrong?" he asks as he puts a reasuring hand on his shoulder. "I can't come with you. I'm sorry but I'm not ready to get into a plane yet even tho I thought so" Kurt tries to explain and luckily he doesn't have to say more because the teacher says "You stay here and I fly with the kids and keep you updated".

"Thank you so much" Kurt says and takes his bag. Before he goes he turns to the kids and says "I wish you all good luck. You'll rock Nationals and most importantly have fun okay?". And with that he turns around and goes outside, once again calling a cab, the scene very familiar to him.

He knows exactly who he needs right now because he doesn't care if they fought or not, he'll take care of him and won't rub a 'told you so' under his nose. That's the least thing he needs right now. Now he needs Blaine.

The young man gets in a cab, tellingthe driver the adress, hot tears already running down his cheeks and a knot in his throat that makes it harder to control his breathing.

At the hospital he rushes to the counter and luckily immediatly spots the head nurse. "Kurt? What happened? What are you doing here?" she asks when she spots him as well. Kurt lets out a sob that he couldn't hold back anymore and asks "Where's Blaine?".

"He's in the back room to get the medication ready for lunch already but I call him here, wait" she says, already calling Blaine with her beeper. Beepers are usually work related but that's the fastest way to get Blaine to the counter.

Only moments after Blaine comes around the corner "Monica you wanted to-". Then he sees him. His crying boyfriend.

"Kurt" he says, rushing to his boyfriend and taking him tightly in his arms "Hey". "Hey" Kurt mumbles before he starts sobbing again, holding Blaine as tight as he can. "I tried to hard" he says between sobs and feeling Blaines hand running up and down his back while he mumbles "It's okay, you'll be okay".

"I'm taking my break okay?" Blaine asks Monica after Kurt calmed down a little, moe or less. "No. It's not your break. Just go somewhere quiet and I cover for you and you can take your break properly later" the nurse says with a worried smile. Blaine nods grateful and leads Kurt away.

"Where are we going?" the younger man asks and Blaine answers "Locker room. It's quiet and we're most likely alone there because everyone else is working". "Oh okay. I get to see the place where you always changed before coming ack to my room to say good night" Kurt answers, a small smile on his lips. "Yes but it's nothing special" Blaine says and laughs a bit before stopping in front of a door, holding it open for Kurt after unlocking it.

After Blaine closed the door again they sit down so they could talk.

"So you couldn't get into the plane hm?" Blaine asks and Kurt shakes his head "Not even to the gate". The younger man sighs "Sorry. You warned me and wanted to protect me from what just happened but I didn't listened to you". "It's okay angel" Blaine answrs.

He stands up again to grap a bottle of water for Kurt "At least you tried". "Yeah but I was so sure and we fought because of that" Kurt says, sounding frustrated. "We did. Yes" Blaine answers, putting the bottle on the table and hugging Kurt from behind.

"But we'll talk and everything will be fine. Like always" he adds and Kurt nods, leaning his head against Blaine. The latter bends down and kisses the top of Kurts head before he lets go of him and sits down again.

"Now before we talk about the fight we had, how are you feeling?" Blaine asks. Kurt takes a sip from the water before answering "Better. Still sad, angry and disappointed but not as bad as last time".

"Do you want to punch something again?" Blaine asks, seeing Kurt nod "It helped last time". "Okay. I have an idea. You go down to the cafeteria, get some breakfast or something from Meggy and I work a bit more. Then I take my break early and we go to the basement together. We don't have the gloves but this'll have to do" Blaine proposes. "You'd do this for me?" Kurt asks. They fought and they didn't made up yet.

"Of course. I want to make sure tha you're staying in the reality and not like he last time zone out" Blaine says and sees how a smile spreads on Kurts lips. It's small and it's a bit sad but it's a smile.

So Kurt goes down to the cafeteria and Blaine back to the counter where Monica waits for him, working on some files.

"How is Kurt?" she asks when she sees Blaine. "Better. But he realized that he isn't ready yet and that maakes him sad, angry and like I guessed disappointed" Blaine tells and the head nurse asks "Do you need to go home with him or are you staying?". "I didn't even knew that you would've just let me go" Blaine laughs.

"No I think he'll be okay. I take my break early and go with him to the basement. After that we'll see if he's okay alone or not. I'd come back to you on that and if I really have to go then I can work a Saturday again or so" he explains serious again.

Monica nods agreeing before sending the young nurse to Mr. Nelling since he should still work at least one hour or so till he can take his break so he also survives the other half of the day.

Boxing without gloves feels different but Kurt doesn't really care because he just needs it. He needs this to vent. To let the anger that he holds inside out.

Blaine was right. He is disappointed. He's disappointed that he sstill can't do it. And the whole time Blaine tried to protect ihm but he didn't liten. He was too stubborn.

"Are you okay or should I stay with you?" Blaine asks when Kurt calmed down a bit more. The younger shakes his head "No. You work and I go home". "Okay. But we see each other tonight? We could talk" Blaine says.

The other man agrees "Okay. At your place? It's more private there". "Okay. How do you get home? You took the cab here" the older man asks and Kurt shrugs "Bus or cab I guess". "No" his boyfriend says "You take my car and pick me up after work so we can drive home".

After Kurt agrees Blaine brings him to his car and gives him the keys. There isn't a kiss goodbye but once they talked this evening there will hopefully be lots of kisses again.

Kurt drives away and Blaine goes in and to the cafeteria to have at least a little lunch break before going back to work.

A half coffee and one sandwich later Blaine is back at work, bringing the crazy flower lady her lunch and cutting it in pieces for her so she can eat it better alone.

The day goes on and on and for Blaine it feels endless. He just wants to go home, talk to Kurt, make up, cuddle and eat since he didn't had a proper break to eat or breath before going back to work. He just wants to go home where his thought already are.
