Wednesday.
Directly after his shift Blaine changes into his normal clothes again before going to the cafeteria where he and Kurt will meet.
Kurt already waits at a table with two coffee to go. One for him and one for Blaien for their drive.
To say he's nervous is an understatement for Kurt but Blaine said that Professor Smith is nice and he seems to be in his emails too so Kurt is okay. Still freaking out but not overwhelmed.
"Hey angel" Blaine greets his boyfriend, followed by a kiss. "Hey" the other man answers with a smile before giving Blaine his coffee. "Sweet. Thanks" the oldersays and takes the coffee in one and Kurts hand in his other hand so they can go to the car.
The drive isn't quiet. It never is. They always play music to sing along or talk about their day or anything else that comes to their minds.
"Did you hear back from NYADA again?"Blaine asks to open a conversation and in the corner of his eye he can see Kurt nod "Yeah. They'll call Mr. Schue and talk to him before making a final decision but everyone is very positive about that".
"That's great angel. Tell me as soon as you heared from them again so we can celebrate" the older man says and Kurt nods again "Celebrate? Okay?". They both laugh and Kurt turns the music louder when a great song comes on.
For a short moment Kurt forgot how nervous he actually is until Blaine parks the car at their destination. That's when he gets nervous again.
Blaine notices too. Especially because Kurt fiddles with his cuticles. Carefully Blaine takes Kurts hands in his, kissing them softly. "You don't need to be nervous. I'm with you here" he says.
"Yeah. Okay" Kurt says and takes a deep breath before saying "Let's go". Blaine just nods and gets out of the car, locking it as soon as he and Kurt are outside. There their fingers tangle again and Blaine leads the way to Professors Smiths office.
It's been a while but he still knows the way, feeling nostalgic when he enters the building after such a long time again.
He knocks at the door, waiting for a sign to come in and does so when he hears his former professor say "Come in". Kurt comes in too, staying close to Blaine. He's not afraid but the closer he's to Blaine the less nervous he is.
"Hello Professor Smith. Sorry for being late but I came straight from work and I couldn't get off at the exact time I planned to" the young nurse explains but the professor waves it off.
He looks nice. A welcoming smile on his lips and an open gesture.
"No problem Mr. Anderson. You came from work? Where exactly do you work now?" the professor asks after greeting his former student with a handshake. "I'm a nurse at the Lifeline Hospital in Lima now" Blaine answers smiling.
The professor nods before turning to Kurt "And you must be Mr. Hummel". "Yes, that's me" Kurt nods, also shaking the professors hand.
"Now let's sit down and talk a bit okay? This meet up is just to look if we get along well and if you want me to help you or think you maybe feel more comfortable with someone else" the professor explains, sitting down on one of the armchairs.
The couple sits down on the couch, looking to the older man opposite of them. He laughs "There's no need to be tense. This is a safe space, a plac eto open up and everything can stay in here. But if it makes you more comfortableI can start with talking and asking some questions".
On that Kurt nods relieved. He had no clue what to tell a strangerand what not. "Okay so I'll ask and if you don't want to answer you don't have to. If you have questions for me in in general feel free to ask" Professor Smith says and again Kurt nods.
