"Okay I've had just about enough of it-" Y/n grabbed Mary's wrist. The astronomer sputtered as Y/n pulled her arm away from her lips.

"Aye! What are yee doin?" She cried out in irritation as they snatched the black pen out of her hand.

"I can't stand it! The constant gnawing and chewing on-" Y/n paused abruptly as they glanced at the pen. The color drained from their face as their eyes were glued to the writing utensil.

"This is my pen." Mary's face went blank. Her eyes darted between Y/n and the pen. She pulled her lip in, dread filling her stomach as the weight of the situation was setting in.

Mary had a habit of chewing on pens. Normally, it's just a few nibbles here and there, but when her brain was on overdrive, she would gnaw the hell out of an ink pen. Sometimes,when she was stressed, she would chew the life out of a pen until the ink busted, though this was rare.

The thing with the chewing though, was that once the butt of the pen was chewed to no return, she was always on the hunt for a fresh pen. Y/n would  buy her pens her and there, but lately, she's been getting out of control with it. She likes to dig around in d drawers until she finds a good one, or if she sees a stray pen sitting out, you'd never see it again.

But this time, she crossed the line.

A beautiful, brand new f/c ink pen that she'd might as well just eaten.

The cap was chewed into oblivion (how'd she even do that?) and the hook was bent all out of shape. Her teeth had chipped the f/c paint, and the object was overall just crinkled and ruined.

Angrily, Y/n slammed their hands on Mary's shoulder, violently shaking the pen chewing genius.

"Are you serious?! That's a new pen! New!"

"I'm sorry, Y/n I'll buy you another one-"

"No! There'll never be another pen like this one!"

"Aren't you being a bit dramatic over a pen-"

"Me?! Dude you literally ate the pen-"
