The King and The Collector

The six year old woke up in his bed and blinked. It was a Saturday, which means he would get to play with his best friend, Kingsley! Or, King for short. He was eight, two years older than Seren.
Seren charged down the stairs giggling, running into the kitchen. Sunny smiled. "Morning, champ! What's got you in a hurry?"
Seren was too excited to speak, so he quickly chowed down on his cereal before heading upstairs to get dressed.

Seren threw on his shirt and a pair of joggers, and he ran back downstairs, only to be stopped by his mother. "Star baby! Why are you running everywhere?" Night asked.
"GONNA SEE KING! PLEASE MOVE MAMA!"
Night sighed. "Your shirt is on backwards, bud." She said before fixing his shirt. Hunter came into the room, Riley on his hip. "Amity and Luz want to see the baby, so she's coming with." The blond stated. Night sighed again. "I wasn't told about this. But please be careful with her." Hunter nodded, and the three kids were out the door.

Hunter made his way to the Clawthorne home, banging on the door. Eda answered, welcoming the tiny little trio inside.
Hunter made his way to Luz's room, where said girl and her girlfriend snatched Riley from him. Seren had other plans as he knocked on King's door. "WEH?! WHO'S HERE MOM?!" Shouted the black haired child before opening the door. Once he saw who it was, he smiled. "Hey Seren! Are you ready to continue with our plans for world rule and  domination?"
"You bet, King! Hey, why is your sister always wanting to see mine?" Seren asked, and King shrugged. " she's a baby and for some reason teenage girls always want to hold a baby. Luz used to dress me up in little outfits when I was a toddler." The boy said, and Seren giggled. "My mama does that with Riley! Well, sometimes. A few of their outfits match each other. It's silly!" Seren replied, as he dumped the Lego figures as well as a few paw patrol toys out of his very small paw patrol backpack. " I bought some of my toys so we can map out our plans, King!"
King laughed. "i'm guessing you understand why I call you the collector. You're always bringing some thing over to my house! Now let's begin to plot!" The boys chuckled, in a very evil way.
After spreading out the toys onto the floor, the two children began mapping out their plans.
"Okay, so first we go to your house. We decide to steal all the food in the fridge and then we take all the blankets and chairs to make our castle! We can't be rulers without a castle." King said, using his stuffed rabbit to represent himself.

"Oh yea! And then we take all the coloring books and make ourselves posters and tell the world we are the rulers!" Seren added.

" good thinking, collector! We need subjects, though. Because we need people to rule over." King said.

Seren was stumped. then it was like a lightbulb went off in his little head. " how about the neighborhood? Gravesfield is Full of people!" He said excitedly.

King sat there, nodding. " perfect! Now let's go get our servants!"
The two boys ran into Luz's room where Hunter, Amity, and Luz were drawing, Riley was playing with Luz's stuffed animals. " greetings, peasants! It is us, your new kings! Now take us to the place known as Seren's house!" Shouted King. The teenagers shrugged. Might as well play along until they get to the house. Luz placed King on her shoulders, while Amity placed a now cranky Riley on her hip. Amity tickled the child. " you're going to see your mama in a few minutes, hang on okay?" She said softly. Hunter scooped up Seren, and the kids walked those two blocks.

Amity handed a clingy Riley to Night who nuzzled her. "thank you, Amity. Would you mind telling the kids to be quiet? Riley is tired, so I'm gonna go lay down with her in my room." Night said, ruffling the teen's lilac colored hair before walking away.

Amity turned around placing a finger on her lips. "You guys have to be quiet. Night's in the process of getting Riley to sleep."

Seren and King whined. "BUT WE WANT TO PLAY!" They shouted, causing Cyrus to enter the room. "Yo! Mom is trying to get the baby to sleep. Why don't you two  play outside or something? There's a treehouse and a backyard playset."

The boys' eyes lit up, running out the back door. Hunter hugged his brother, who hugged back. " there's soda in the fridge, some snacks and I just made pizza bagels. You guys can watch a movie or something." Said Cyrus, and the teenagers immediately made their way to the living room, Luz snuggling up to Amity. Hunter's phone went off, making him giggle. " what? Is that your boyfriend?" Asked Luz. " you know it. He sent me pictures of his cat being a crackhead." Responded Hunter.
" I am glad you guys are together. You guys aren't miserable anymore." Luz finished off, Amity agreeing.

Cyrus decided to watch the little ones outside, because they could be reckless. King sat on the top of the slide, and Seren pushed him down. Suddenly, the two boys moved to the treehouse. "So Seren! We can't go inside for a little bit. So what do you wanna do? Asked King. Seren thought for a long moment. " how about we play tag!" He suggested, and King nodded in agreement . "Yeah! But it's not fun when it's only the two of us. The older kids are busy, but we gotta convince them to come outside!" Said Seren, and King nodded.
Seren ran inside, smiling. " you guys wanna play tag? I'll give you guys a head start!"
The kids looked at him, nodding.
" OK! We'll play!" They all shouted, running outside.
The kids ran around the backyard, making sure the six year-old could not catch them. But it was a different game of tag, where if you were touched, you were out. Freeze tag, but without the ability to go back into the game. The two young boys decided to make it even more fun by deciding that they would be the one to tag people together.

The boys won together, satisfied and very happy. They were worried that the older kids were going to win because Hunter was fast. But during the game Hunter had to slow down because his boyfriend texted him, so that gave the kids an advantage.

Eda came to pick her kids up, which made Seren upset. He had a fun day, but he wishes that the boy was able to sleep over.
"Miss Eda? Can King stay over tonight? We were super good today!" He asked.
Eda looked at Night, an unspoken language of mothers. "Sure, kiddo. Luz! Would you like to stay over tonight as well?" Yelled Eda. "SI, MAMA!"
That settled it. Eda had brought over the kids' clothes, before leaving.

Seren's first ever sleepover was one of the best nights ever for him. They had pizza and were even able to have some ice cream. They played with his little sister for a bit before crashing on the living room floor.
