Love is More Than A Word

Sunny paced around, a babbling almost three year old Seren on his hip. It was his first Valentine's Day as a father, making him even more on edge. Seren wore a shirt that said 'mommy and daddy's valentine' and the toddler was focused on the tv in front of him as it was playing a cartoon about space. "Daddy?"

"Huh?" The man looked down at his child, smiling at his son.

"Love day! Mama gift!"

Sunny blinked. Of course Seren still spoke in broken sentences due to spending the majority of his life in a basement and the fact that he was so young. "You think we should get mommy a gift? Great idea!"
Seren popped a thumb in his mouth, staring lovingly at his father with big red eyes.

The two walked around the store, Seren in the front seat of the shopping cart, kicking his feet. "What do you think we should get mommy, bubs?" Sunny asked as the two continued their journey through the store.
"Kitty!!!" The toddler shouted, pointing to a stuffed cat holding a heart. Sunny held the stuffed cat, smiling. "Good work, star baby. Mommy loves cats."

Seren smiled, happily kicking his feet. He was so proud of himself. As the duo grabbed chocolate and flowers, Sunny found a stuffed bunny wearing a cape, slipping it into the cart. Seren was going to love this. Sunny grabbed a few more things before checking out.

Night came home that evening greeted by a excited Seren. "MAMA!!!" Night picked him up, smothering him in kisses. "Hiya, my sweet angel!" She put him down, and the tot began pointing to the master bedroom.
"Mama go room!" The boy shouted, Night cocking her head. "Go in mine and daddy's room?"
Seren nodded. Night walked into the master bedroom, only to see Sunny holding flowers.

"Happy Valentine's Day, Moonlight."

Oh how sweet.

Night couldn't get a word out, as Seren ran up to her with the stuffed cat and chocolate. "love day mama!"

Night kissed them both. She was so lucky to have the sweetest boys in her life. Night couldn't help but kiss the top of her son's head, brushing the white hair from his eyes.

Sunny pulled out the rabbit from the shopping bag, holding it out. "This is for you, bubs. His name is Papa bunny.

Seren's red eyes lit up as he held the bunny, his parents melting at the scene. "I called a babysitter. Eda should be over in five minutes to pick up Seren because I got us a date at the Gravesfield diner." Sunny winked, Night's cheeks heat up. If Seren would be at Eda's tonight, she knew exactly where this was heading
