Giovanni comes into the gym interrupting me once again, "Your mamma is here, with Bambino's." "What the fuck, she was supposed to come tomorrow, can you go pick up Elora?" I ask him while wiping the sweat off my head, "Im sure she doesn't want to see me." "Because you kissed her, she thinks it was nothing, go get her," I say while throwing my car keys to him. 

He turns out of the gym while I walk out into the living room where my mama and niece and nephew are standing, "Ciao!" I say while they come running over to me, "I thought I'd surprise you, Lorenzo." My mama smiles while grabbing my cheeks like I'm a child. "Where is this girl I've heard about?" "She isn't here yet, I have a surprise for Luca and Alicia." 

Luca and Alicia are my niece and nephew, they're six. I grab one of both of their hands and lead them out to the gated backyard, I brought them a gift a big one. "zio Enzo brought us horses!" They both smile while jumping up and down. (zio means uncle) 

I change clothes that covered everything as Giovanni told me he was coming to pick me up at Enzo's request which put me at ease. Him kissing me wasn't a surprise, everyone kisses me but I was surprised he was still breathing. 

He gently knocked on my door as I slid a ring onto my finger, I play with rings when I'm nervous, and if I don't then ill pinch myself until I bleed and I am beyond nervous.

I walk to the door and the only thing that fills my ears is the sound of my heels clicking, I open the door. "Giovanni," I say greeting him. "sei bellissima" {you look beautiful} 

 Im getting really tired of people assuming I don't speak more than one language. "veramente?" (really?) His face went red at my work, "Don't worry, I won't tell Enzo, let's go." I say while walking past him and out of the door. 

Giovanni leads me into the house, "where is he?" I ask to either Givanni or the guard, "back yard" the guard says, I didn't know there was one. As the guard leads me to the backyard I run into his mother, she's beautiful and resembles him. Well, he resembles her.

"Hello! Guard you can go." I smile allowing him to walk away, "You must be Elora, my son has a guard following you around?" She smiles before pulling me in for a hug, I was shocked. "I am Elora, he doesn't let me go anywhere without one, you must be Mrs. Romano." I smile at her. "Call me, Lilyan" She insisted. 

"Where is Enzo?" I ask, "He is in the backyard with his niece and nephew, I'll take you." I reply with a nod of my head and follow her out. I see Enzo putting his niece on a horse, a horse. He's not that stupid, is he? He didn't buy me a house, I know he didn't. 

When he sees me he takes her off of the horse and comes over to me, "Enzo, there are three horses in your backyard, I recall telling you horses were my favorite thing in the world the other day, why are there horses in your backyard?" 

"I didn't buy them for you, don't flatter yourself. My niece likes horses and you like horses so I brought some horses."

 "You don't just buy horses, who's going to take care of them?" I ask before I'm interrupted by his niece running up to me. 

"What's your name?" Her English wasn't the best but that's to be expected, and she was adorable. 

"My name is Elora but you can call me Lora what's your name?" 

"Alicia Romano!" She smiled, "You like horses I hear?" "Yes, I love the black one I named her Sofia." 

Her brother runs up to us, "Hi!" He smiled, "Hello, I'm Elora" "Im Luca," He said before clinging to my leg, "Okay guys let's go get the horse's carrots." Mrs. Romano says before they both grab her hands and walk off. 

"So, Alica has claimed the black one, the Chesnut one is mine," I say before running over to her, this was my dream, how ironic that he'd be giving it to me.

I loved horses, they made me feel freer than anything else. I slowly pet her on the head while thinking of a name, Enzo walked over to me. "You are aware that I do not support this at all right?" I ask, "Why not, I've hired people to take care of them." "They should have family," I whimper. "Do you know how to ride? I know a beautiful spot around here?" He asks, "You do?" "Yeah, I learned in Italy when I was little." 

Something about a man on a horse was insanely hot. 

The horses were already tacked up so we got on the horses and I follow Enzo while riding, for a moment he wasn't a Mafia boss and I wasn't a broken girl, we were just people. living, and what more could I want?" 

We eventually both slowed down the horses, "I get the feeling your mother doesn't like me very much?" I say while making the horse walk, "she wanted me in an arranged marriage that meant nothing, she will like you once she gets to know you." "Well now I've disappeared, we should go back," I say while turning the reins, telling the horse to turn. 

When we arrive back I parked the horse in the backyard, "I haven't ridden in forever." I smile while getting off of the saddle, "anything for you Angel." I didn't even notice Alica was right there, "why do you call her Angel?" She asks, "Do you want to get on the horse?" He was defiantly avoiding the question but I wondered about it too. "Okay, Im going side I'll see you later." I smile before kissing him on the cheek. 

I wandered into the kitchen Where Lilyan was cooking and Luca was helping her, "Hey guys, what are you making?" I ask, "Pasta e pane," his mother said in Italian, "Oh sorry" she frowned, "No it's fine I speak Italian if it's easier for you we could speak it I don't mind." I smile while Luca waves at me, "How did you learn?"

 "My parents weren't around much so I took some time and learned a couple of languages, I always wanted to travel the world."That was the understatement of the world, 'parents not around much' they barely existed. 

"Do you need any help?" I ask breaking the silence, "No we're okay." I shake my head before wandering off again. I walk around, there were a lot of rooms I didn't know about. I run into someone, "Sorry" I say before trying to walk away, he grabs my arm turning me around. "Long time no see Elora."
