"I don't get how you do it," Silas says. It'd been a week since we got married and everyone could tell, everyone who lived with us could tell that it was more than a business arrangement. "Do what?" I ask while tapping my finger on the counter, "Love him, and before you deny it it's obvious so give it up."

"I do it because I think deep down he and I are the same, we thirst for power even though we have so much of it, we kill, we control but our actions are all driven by one singular place." "And where is that?" He asks, "We're alone, or we were and we hate it." He throws me a look that I can't read before offering me a plate of waffles, "I'm okay." I smile before trying to walk away.

The hands on my hips stop any further movement, "You're not okay- she's not okay, you haven't eaten since yesterday so eat before I shove it down your throat." Enzo threatens, "Fine." I pick up a whole waffle and take a bite of it, I turn to look at Enzo and he just shakes his head.

"Im busy, we're busy, Russians to kill, and police commissioner's to threaten and kill." The police commissioner had come over and said that he would rid his city of us, and people like us. Enzo and I reminded him that we own the city, it's our city but I don't think he quite got the message.

"We need to let the police commissioner think that he's doing something, the Russians need to be dealt with first." I sigh at his words, "YA svyazhu tebya i vozʹmu na sebya upravleniye, yesli ty ne perestaneshʹ vesti sebya kak moy boss, a teperʹ sprosi eto, kak budto eto byl vopros." I say in Russian, "I speak Russian and I didn't need to hear that." Silas informs me, I shoot him a sorry look before returning to my gaze with Enzo.

"You speak Russian?" His face was filled with shock, "I speak a lot of languages now ask me that like it was a question, the whole leave the police commissioner alone thing." I ask while leaning against the counter and taking another bite of the waffle. "It wasn't a question."

I turn to walk away from him but he grabs my hips again. I groan before turning back to him, "If we try and do both someone will die, in the choice between you and I, you will let me die but for now no one has to die." He assures me.

"I'm not having his conversation again, we live every day knowing we could die, kill, or be killed we kill, any of us could die we don't get to choose but if someone was holding a gun to your chest I would step in front of it, you don't get to die, you don't get to leave me and it is as simple as that Lorenzo."

Evan walks into the kitchen, "Cute couple." He jokes, as always. "Why are you here Evan?" I ask, Evan's finger falls on Enzo. "Russians are idiots but these trannies are even more idiotic, training, I'm training them." I raise my eyebrow looking at him, "what? they work for us now, if they act stupid the urge to kill them only grows stronger." He says before handing me a cup of coffee, "thanks." He kisses me on the forehead before walking away with Evan.

"That's weird, he's being weird right?" I ask Silas, the only person in the kitchen. "It is, really weird, I hate to say I'm jealous." Katarina says while making her way into the kitchen, "One of the Russians is here, well at the base, found her hiding." One of our bodyguards says Diego and Victor are off today. "What's her name?" I ask, "Anastasia Petrov."
