Chapter 5.
I’ve been going to school for about a week and I can say that it has been going well. But I haven’t made friends. I don’t know why but I just don’t trust anyone. I don’t trust that easily. I trusted someone easily and that someone ended up bringing trouble into my life. She changed me into someone that im not. She made me this filthy person that I am. Everytime I walk around I feel like everyone knows the real me.i feel like im being judged. I am always looking over myy shoulder afraid that maybe someone who knows what I was will appear.BBut I just take it a day at a time.

Its now Monday and I have a class at 8:30.i get up and do my hygiene process,get dressed and go to the kitchen.i make cereal for myself and sit on the high chair and eat.After im done im only left with 30 minutes to go to my class.i grab a fruit and get on the way.10 minutes later im sitting outside the lecture hall. I keep busy pressing my phone then I hear noise which means that class is over and mine is going to start.i rush there and I bump into someone. The person looks at me and I run to my class.i sit down and breath loudly.

The lecturer comes in and starts teaching.This is my favourite module out of all of them.Criminology. It is a very interesting module.i always listen attentively and I always look forward to it.After I have 2 lectures then I decide to go to the library.i put my things down and sit.i start with my studying and even forget that I have to leave.i have nothing to do beside studying.Weekends I spend them with my lil bro.Otherwise you will find me studying.it takes my mind off many things.i look at the time and its almost time for my last class.i pack my things and go to class.Every time when it’s the last class I always look at the time for it to be over.After my class I leave the building and decide to go to res.i am done for the day.As I pass reception I see someone in the lift.
Me:please hold the lift!
I ran a bit and get in just in time.
Me:thank you.
He looked up and my mouth hang open.i looked down until the lift stopped.He got out.Thhen I got off at my floor.i got into my room and sank onto my bed.Who is that guy?i cant take him off my mind.i decided to take a nap after the long day that I had.

I woke up and went to wash my face.After that I went to make something to eat.i made noodles because I was feeling lazy to cook.i take my noodles and go sit on the couch.
Zoe:girl what are you doing this weekend?
Me:nothing.I will spend the weekend with my lil brother and studying.yeah that’s what im gonna do.
Zoe:girl you cant always be studying.you have to take a break.
Me:what would I do around here anyway?i don’t know anyone.
Zoe:make friends.That will help you.
Me:I don’t know how to do that.I’ve never had friends my whole life.
Zoe:when you get to your classes,talk to people you sit next to.Thats how it starts.
Me:I will see.
Zoe:come to a party with me and my friends this weekend.
Me:I cant.i’ll be studying.
Zoe:here we go again.
Me:okay I will think about it.
Zo:that’s good.Anyway,im cooking.Come lets cook together.You cant sleep with only noodles.
Me:I see you cant take no for an answer.im coming.
It was good coking with her and just having someone to talk to.For once my life was not boring.
The following day I woke up happy and just confident about everything.Maybe I might just take Zoe’s advice and try making friends.i take my things and leave.i only have one class in the afternoon but I will just go and chill at campus and go to the library later on.i get to campus and look for a quiet spot where I can just relax and have peace.i sit on a lawn.I watch as people move up and down and I realise that my life is boring.All I do is just study.Thats all I ever do.
After hours I feel hungry and I go to the student center to buy food.there are shops there where they sell food.There’s a long cue so I just sit on one of the chairs waiting for it to be short.i told someone that im front of them.
Voice:beautiful lady can I join you?
Me:no.i prefer my own company.
Guy:well im joining you now.
Me:im fine sitting alone.
Guy:ive seated already so….
Voice:sis im here.Sorry for being late.
Guy:bye beautiful…
Me:bye…..
He left and I could breath.i think I have a fear oof meeting new people.i feel anxious in front of someone I don’t know.
Guy:so aren’t you going to say thank you for saving you?
It was the guy from the lift.
Me:thank you.You are a lifesaver.
Guy:im Muzi,and you?
Me:Kelebogile.Its nice to meet you.
Muzi:e seng gore ka go phaphela or what…but I’’ve thinking about you ever since I saw you in that lift.
Me:me too.i cant get you off my mind.so o itse Setswana?
Muzi:im zulu,mama ke Motswana.
Me:oh.
Muzi:so what are you doing here alone?
Me:im on the cue to buy food.
Muzi:you stay next to the campus,you can just go and cook.
Me:im feeling lazy.
Muzi:I see we have something in common.
Me:do you stay where I stay?
Muzi?:no.i was fetching something from a friend.im glad we met again.its like we’ve know each other our whole lives.
Me:yeah I also feel connected to you and its so weird,
Muzi:can I be your friend please?
Me:you are even begging?
Muzi:pretty please.
Me:dude okay.
I was laughing.
Muzi:okay,see you around.i have a class.
Me:yeah sure.
Muzi:give me your numbers I will call you.
I gave him and he kissed my cheek and left.i just made a friend.But something about him is confusing but I hope I will see as things go.

I was listening to music when my phone rang looking at the Hatfield view.its an amazing vie at night.It was an unknown number.
Me:hell.who am I talking to?
Voice:its me Muzi.HOW ARE YOU?
ME:Im good and you?
Muzi:im good.so what are you doing?
Me:just listening to music,and you?
Musi:im washing plates with my little brothers.
Me:okay,so you wash plates?i don’t believe you.
Muzi:I do.And its only me washing,these rascals are just drying.
Voices:he’s lying..
I laughred.
Muzi:its true.And these plates are more than 30.
Me:haa!how many are you at your family?
Muzi:more than twenty.you will meet them some day.
Me:eh that’s too soon.
Voice:can we talk to her please?
Muzi:no go away.
Me:its fine.i’d like to talk to them.
Voice:me too.
It was a girl’s voice.
Voice:hi Lebo.
Me:hi,how are you?
Voice:im good.its Sipho I have my brothers her and Sphe our sister.we are 4.
Me:okay.you can all talk then.
I talked with them for a while asking me questions and making me laugh.Sphe even asked if I was her brother’s girlfriend.
Muzi:they are even finishing my airtime.Good night.
