Y/N's POV

I'm not sure when everything clicked- when everything went back to normal, I mean. I just slowly gained conscience of the real world... sadly. And as of now, I find myself in the kitchen. I shove a fifth cookie into my mouth and rest my arms on the counter as I stare into nothing in particular.

Kentaro's body walks into frame but I don't truly notice it until he talks.

"Iwaizumi brought you home yesterday, you should probably talk to him."

I remember being in the park with Iwaizumi and watching as he stared at me. Yeah, I clearly remember the goosebumps from his eyes. However, after meeting with Towada, my mind is blank. Whatever happened isn't worth the fucking wound in my leg that I have no idea where it came from and much less this fucking headache.

"I don't know what's up with him," He takes a seat in the chair in front of me.

I can't remember when was the last time we had a civil conversation. When we weren't shouting insults or harsh words we would later go on to regret. This is odd but it's also nice.

"He seems to really care about you."

Well, this is the second time he brings me home.

"Yeah, it's kind of weird," I shove another cookie in my mouth and talk with an open mouth which seems to bother Kentaro by the look on his face. He doesn't say anything though, probably because he doesn't want to ruin the moment.

"You don't think something is up?"

"Like what? Can't think of anything."

"I get it, you are slow," He stands up on the chair and flicks my forehead playfully, a familiar but odd gesture, "But Imma need you to catch up, or has all that weed finally killed all your five brain cells."

"Ah," I open my mouth and grab my chest, offended.

Slow?

Before I can throw some shade back, Mom's head peaks into the kitchen. She looks as dead as always.

"You want me to make you some tea, Mom?" Kentaro walks behind the counter and begins to grab stuff from the cabinets.

She doesn't answer the question. Her eyes never leave me, the look only intensifying by the moment. I bet she is biting her tongue back from lashing out. Her stare makes me uncomfortable but I make sure I don't look away.

"Mom?" Kentaro stops what he is doing and he looks at her, "You okay?"

"Drugs, Y/N? Really?" She finally says, her throat sounding tight as if she is holding her voice from cracking, "What is up with you, child?!"

"Oh, we are not doing this again," I shove the box of cookies away from me and attempt to walk away but she covers the way with her body.

"Everyone is already talking!" She screams, "They saw you with that drug dealer boy and they saw you being carried home by Kana's boy!"

"HUH!? Who did!? They can say it in my face," I scream back, "I didn't do shit!"

"Let me drug test you then."

"So you don't trust me but you trust some fucking liar?" I look down at her.

I'm only about three inches taller than Mom but I make sure to use them to my advantage. It always makes her nervous when we are in close proximity and she truly notices how bigger I am than her. Not that I would ever physically hurt my mother but sometimes I need her to back off. Is it wrong? Yeah, I guess, I don't know, and I don't care.
